Weigh In Day
Posted November 6, 2012
on:My heart weighs heavy on the story in the news regarding the two year old child who died at the Pittsburgh Zoo. Please join me in praying for the grieving parents, relatives and any onlookers who were traumatized by the event.
Today is weigh in day and election day as well, but staying away from politics here…. This week has been stressful and I admit I did not stay away from the Halloween Candy as much as I wanted to. I still counted my Weight Watcher points and tried to stay within the limits. Reaching a milestone where I fit into these pants I’ve been waiting for should have been good motivation to stay on track…
Notice the closed eyes here. I decided to put it in my blog anyway because it represents a lot of how I was feeling this week. The good part is that I fit into these pants.
I was so happy to have my husband back as my photographer this week. He directs me and takes dozens of pictures for me to choose from. I was a little chilly and didn’t let him do as much as he normally would. After all, I was trying to get several outfit shots done, go grocery shopping and get home for my Pittsburgh Steelers game at 4pm. Sorry to NY Giants fans, but WE WON!
I tried very hard to balance my mistake with the candy during the day in my dinner meals. I ate a lot of no point vegetables and small portions of protein. Of course I didn’t do to well on that until Saturday, so had a few days before weigh in day. I love using Weight Watchers to lose weight as the weekly weigh ins hold you accountable and you know you have to face the scale. Of course you could skip a week like some members do, but that is not an option I will allow myself. I actually like the meetings and would feel like I missed out if I didn’t go. It is a social thing for this stay at home mother who is homeschooling a twelve year old boy…So the time has come to face the scale and my weigh in results are: I lost 0.2 lbs. After the week I had, any loss is a success.
Gratitude- I am grateful for the health and well being of my children. I am grateful that I fit into my pants and have more options as this colder weather hits. I am grateful for books, authors and the internet that makes so much information easily accessible.
