Unseasonably Warm Day!

What better way to embrace the outside world after having the flu, than a very sunny 70 degree Day!
These are the newest of my Diane Gilman Jeans. They are ombre and meant for spring, but I don’t think
they have to be saved until then. This was the first time my husband saw these pants and he quite liked them . He was really impressed with the ombre effect. Makes me wish I had purchased more than one color… It really was warm enough for me to remove the sweater!
This top is one I picked up at Sears at then end of summer clearance sales, as I liked the water color floral print.
I am feeling much better, but still dealing with lots of congestion and on some coughing. I am just grateful to be over the fever, body aches and lack of appetite. I still don’t have a full appetite back and am only wanting things like bagels and grilled cheese sandwhiches. My oldest who started this flu thing two weeks before me had the lack of appetite for an entire week after the fever was gone. One way to get rid of holiday weight gain is to contract the flu immediately after New Year’s…. I did lose all five pounds ,but would have preferred to have exercised it off…
It felt really good to pick out an outfit and do photographs. Although I am still not at 100% , I am glad to be past the worst of it and look forward to a busy week. My youngest had an extra week off from home schooling , so back to a full schedule this week. There will definitely be an adjustment period getting back into it, but we will manage and there really is no pressure as he is way advanced in the math curriculum and is self motivated to find science and social studies things that interest him. Wish me luck with the writing as that is my focus for the rest of this school year. To take a child that the school could only get to write 5 sentences and get him to write a few paragraphs will be a challenge, but I am ready and know he is capable. I love that he will pick the topics and not be boxed in to what he is assigned , the beauty of homeschooling, individualized education!

No reason to wait to wear those beauties! Wish it were warmer here….

Ah, sun, a great healer!
I love your whole outfit, but especially your accessories – the necklace, the boots, and that cute bag!

Glad to hear you are feeling better! The flu is horrible. These pants should definitely stay out all year round. The color is gorgeous and I love that they are ombre! We had mid 60s over the weekend but back to the 20s this morning, brrr!

Great outfit, The colors look great together.

Great purchase with these pretty hombre pants. They look great for this season with the gray cardigan and they’ll work well into warmer months also. Love the watercolor top. I have a sleeveless watercolor top with ruffles and have enjoyed wearing it.
Glad you’re on the upswing healthwise, Tracey.

So glad you’re over the flu … wasn’t it awful? It’s 33 degrees here, with snow on the ground. Love the whole outfit, and particularly with the gray boots to ground the whole deal. What a great warm-winter outfit!
