on:This is my 100th Post!
Everyone is talking about Pantone’s color for Spring 2013 – Emerald… But here is the remainder of their picks:
Fabsugar.com reports the following lists of color trends for Spring as seen on the Runways:
- Shades of green
- Crisp white
- Purple reign
- Not-so-mellow yellow
- Red hot
- Sorbet pastels
- Orange rush
- Bold in black
- Icy tones
- Cobalt blue on blast
- Pretty in pink
- All about olive
- Natural and nude
- Cool navy blue
- Citron pop
- Metallic shine
Both Lists agree that my Red-Orange Jeans are on trend for Spring, but for now here is another winter look:
Since the temperatures finally dropped to near freezing another cozy sweater was in order for the day. I thrifted this one and have to say it really was warm standing out there for photos in colder temperatures… My son was, however, shivering in his long sleeved t-shirt with a light flannel on top… Guess I should remember to tell him to get a coat next time, no reason he should have to suffer. I am the one doing a blog.
Upon seeing the photos I am not sure my choice of boots was the best option here. I tried to connect it with the purse choice and the metal color in my necklace, but am wondering if my lighter shade of cowboy style boots might have been a better look. All I was thinking of was warmth and these flannel lined boots called to me.
So dear readers did my attempts to connect the boots work or should I have gone for the lighter shade seen here? Are their any colors for Spring that you are looking to add to your closet? Your comments are welcomed and appreciated.
Gratitude: I am grateful that the fight I thought I was going to face didn’t happen and the school was very reasonable… It’s a long story but my son’s Math Analysis teacher has had several family tragedies since the beginning of the school year and a not very good substitute took over, which has left a lot of the kids struggling. Several parents have requested their child be removed from the class and were all refused. After Nicholas missed these 8 days due to the flu there really was no hope of him recovering, as he is just getting even more behind. It’s bad when the teacher shook her head when he returned and said she didn’t know what to do with him. They are letting him drop the class and removing this grade so it doesn’t damage his GPA. We had to go to the principal after the initial refusal and I am so grateful that she listened and understood and agreed right away to our request…
Have a wonderful Weekend and Thank You For Stopping By!

I think I would like a lighter colored boot here but being warm and comfortable are very important. 😉
I am most excited by the color emerald for spring. I am a winter, so emerald is a good color on me. It just isn’t a color I wear–ever. I am excited to give it a try. I started small. I ordered a lace trimmed tank during Coldwater Creek’s big sale and I’d like to find another dressy button down top as well.

I think emerald is a great color for a lot of us and I have always loved it myself. Yes, starting small is a good way to dip your toes into a trend.
