Cobalt & Yellow

Posted on: February 10, 2013

I imagined these pants with yellow as soon as I bought them….

IMG_1999I wore this outfit to the boat show and a movie out with my husband.   He came home and complimented this color combination immediately.  I am glad I chose to wear this on an evening out with him since he appreciated.

IMG_2001We’ve been experiencing some windy days!

We went to see the movie, Lost Identity as we were looking for a comedy, we needed to laugh! We haven’t gotten the final word that we are going on the Cayman Island trip and it is all hinging on the loan paperwork being in order…  It would be so upsetting if something went wrong and we didn’t end up going… So had to get through this stressful weekend….

I am glad that I can wear this sweater tied up like this or I would have had to purge it.  It is a very long open drapey one that totally overwhelms my body, but this way makes it work….

Linking up today with Visible Monday and Watch What I am Wearing.

Dear Readers, Happy Monday!  Any suggestions on what color to wear next with these pants?

Gratitude:  I am grateful to have a husband who notices my outfit choices and makes comments without me ever having to ask.  I am grateful for a night out relaxing together.  I am grateful for the surprise flowers Tom brought home to me Sunday for no reason at all.. I am grateful that my son has made up all his school work from when he missed 8 days due to the flu!  I am grateful that my son is self motivated and planning his first college visit.

This is a great color combo! I like the sweater tied at the waist too. The pants would look great with red or even all black. Super sleek looking. Heather

Great color combination! Thanks for sharing your fab look with Visible Monday.

I love blue and yellow together, too! In fact, that’s one of my favorite color combinations for Spring — along with orange and blue. I’m not very creative when it comes to mixing colors (and I’m a real matchy-matchy stylist) but if you like orange, it would work with those pants. Also I could see it with a bright pink.

Love the yellow and blue color combination! One of my favorites for Spring. You could also use orange or bright pink with those pants if you like those colors. Someone else already mentioned black, and that would be an elegant combination with the blue and black pattern in the pants.

I have worn them twice with black, but love the idea of bright pink or orange. thank you!

Very creative and stylish way to tie up that sweater. The outfit is beautiful. I adore the color combination. The pants are very cool.

I love the combo!

I vote black! Lol, I am Matchy Matchy after all! Lol. Looking great Tracey. Could you pass some motivation my way?

First time visitor!

Blue and yellow is such a happy combination, perhaps because of the idea of a sunny day with blue skies. I think the pants would also look great with a crisp white shirt paired with a black sweater (or jacket, or vest.)

Your husband sounds like a doll! And I like your “attitude of gratitude” at the end of the post. We all need to take that type of attitude to heart!

Thank you. I hadn’t considered white shirt and black topper will have to try that!

This blue yellow combination looks terrific. What a creative way to wear your sweater to get more wear out of it!
I cannot wait to see Identity Thief! Me and Shelley (?Shelley and I ?…whatever ha) are going to see it next week. Tomorrow John and I are going to see the creepy looking Side Effects.
You are just making all this up about your husband, aren’t you? LOL Just kidding. My goodness it’s rare for a man to take notice and comment about aspects of a wife’s outfits….and bring you flowers for no reason. You’re a lucky (or I like to say “blessed) gal. 🙂

I want to go see Silver Linings Playbook next as my 17 year old son told me it is up for more awards than any movie for years!
I think my husband is just so happy to get his wife back. Closing my Consignment store, caring for my mother and mourning her has been a 7 year process in which I was suffering intense pain. I’ve been back to my Sassy self for just this past year!
