Weigh In Day

Posted on: February 13, 2013

Today in my Weight Watcher meeting  we talked about the importance of portion size and being accurate….

What we all learned was that we were measuring the pasta after it is cooked when we should have done so before cooking it.  So we were eating less pasta than a serving size…. All I know is that when eating the healthy guidelines and the number of fruits and vegetables, dairy and protein that I am really eating more food than I was while gaining weight. I eat 5 times per day.

Next week I’ll detail a normal day’s food.

This outfit is mostly thrifted…

The dress was new with tags but thrifted for,  $3.50 found by a friend.

The sweater was thrifted at just $2.50

In twelve days I will have to be getting into a bathing suit… So that means off to exercise more.. I am working with eight pound weights daily for toning and love it.  I can feel the changes in my biceps…

I lost one pound this week, hope for more next week!

Linking up with What I Wore Wednesday

Dear Readers as we think of spring are any of you thinking of skimpier clothing and exercising to tone up before the warm weather arrives?

Gratitude:  I am grateful for my weekly Weight Watcher meetings and the wonderful support, social interactions and the recharge it gives me every week.  I am grateful for a wonderful friend who helped me run some errands for the trip today.  I am grateful that my daughter received and installed her new hard drive today.  I am grateful to my husband for bringing me a Luau scented candle last night to get me in the mood for the Caribbean(I ‘ve had it lit all afternoon and it smells wonderful!).  I am grateful that this trip came up at a point in my weight loss journey!

What an awesome dress! I love the color and shape of it. The sweater is a perfect pairing. Yah for losing another pound 🙂

When spring comes I don’t necessarily think of skimpier clothing, just being able to go bare legged with heels and a skirt makes me happy! Heather

I am constantly amazed at the nice clothes you buy thrifting. Congratulations on the one pound loss. I, too, am going on vacation this summer and hope to tone my upper body by then. I walk on the treadmill for 65 mins, 3 times per week but I don’t do any core or upper body work. I will get started soon. Have a great time on vacation!

Thank you and great commitment for you to do the treadmill so regularly. I am so excited about adding in the weights and love the feeling. Will continue this for sure! If your vacation is in summer you have plenty of time to make real changes, good luck!

I love the sweater!

I think you look fabulous! I’m new to your blog so not sure what your past weight watchers story was but I think you look amazing now! Cute sweater – looks adorbs belted 🙂 Found you via the What I Wore Wednesday linkup
