Bohemian Chic

Posted on: March 6, 2013

I was suppose to go to my Weight Watcher meeting, but woke up with major sinus pressure headache and a sore throat.  Not surprising with the colder weather and the impending rain that wreaks havoc with me…  Good news is that the meds I took helped enough to make me feel a lot less miserable and dare I say productive… I finally unpacked the suitcases and put away all the warm weather clothes I pulled out when packing…

IMG_2426Some days you just get dressed according to how you feel for the day.. I wanted something easy and this fit my mood.  I was trying to get in wearing a skirt before the next few days of rain or snow hits us( weather channel can not predict which one we will get and say this is the most frustrating unpredictable storm they can remember)  and I will be stuck in pants tucked into boots…

I didn’t go anywhere today, but would have worn this to my WW meeting if I had gone.

I have to confess, I was not looking forward to going today and facing the consequences of all the carbs I’ve consumed since returning from the Cayman vacation.  I don’t know what hit me, as I have not missed carbs much at all and eat them sparingly,,, not this time .  I gained just one pound on vacation, which I was happy about… Came home and in just a few days put on another two….The problem just isn’t the food, it has been my exhaustion and hibernating under a blanket on the couch.

Even while on vacation, I managed to exercise and do stretches in the mornings… So getting back on track and trying to lose this gain and finish this last bit of weight loss and move on to maintenance… My daughter graduates from college, the beginning of May and I really have to work hard to be at my goal weight by then….

Have to share a funny story…. At customs when returning home, the guy looked at my passport photo and had a funny look on his face.  I declared that I had lost weight.  He said, “I wouldn’t have said anything! ”  and laughed with me.  He then asked how I did it.  When I told him WW, he said “So it does really work! You see these stars on tv ads and wonder if it’s real, now I can tell others it is! ”

Linking up with What I wore Wednesday  with a large assortment of bloggers for you to explore…

Gratitude:  Grateful that my miserable morning turned out ok and that I found the energy to unpack and do some major reorganizing.  I am grateful that my oldest who was in a mild accident today was ok and that my husband was available to meet him and help him out.  I am grateful that my daughter pitched in and changed the rabbit cage and turtle tank today!   I am grateful that when my oldest saw the ingredients for a Caprese salad, asked me to make him one as well! (don’t make him meals that much anymore!)

Try not to be hard on yourself. Getting back from a warm sunny vacation to cold weather is tough! You look awesome in this outfit. I love the skirt and all the colors! Heather

Heather, no worries not hard on myself just sharing what is so! I was just so caught off guard about the carb cravings which have been non existent…

Yet another look that I LOVE!!

Thank you! Knew I was on the right track when my husband came home last night and immediately complimented this one…

I love this outfit!
