Weekend Walk…

Posted on: May 5, 2013

This is what I wore when I took a walk on Saturday… It is about a 15 to 20 many walk from my house to a Dollar Tree and Burlington Coat Factory… Nice to just go off by myself and walk.  I use to that a lot in my teen years.  I find it peaceful and nice to have alone time.  I was pondering the upcoming weekend and my daughter’s college graduation..

On one hand I am on such a high that I wrote on my Facebook page that my feet aren’t touching the ground…. on the other hand it’s occasions like this that make me wish for another moment with my mother.  She passed away four years ago, shortly before my daughter’s high school graduation and their July b’days.  It hurt my daughter tremendously that they never had that shared party when she turned 18 and my mother would have turned 70.   My mother’s last wish was to be at my daughter’s high school graduation , but that was not to be…Just needed a moment to cry and share my thoughts… enough of that.   It’s time to celebrate the huge accomplishment of my amazing child!

These pants are another pair of jeans by Diane Gilman which I purchased for just $10 as I bought them in winter and they are Spring weight and style.  I love that the front pocket is just a mock one so no bulk at all…I wonder if I went over board as I bought them in yellow and green as well… Can a girl have too many checkered jeans?

IMG_3614I will be playing with different versions of this in the future as I have four other pairs of shoes I liked with this!!

Dear Readers,  I hope you all have a wonderful week and look forward to celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend.  I am so blessed to be moving my daughter home on Sunday!  Best Mother’s Day gift ever…How are you planning to celebrate this weekend?  All comments are greatly appreciated and make my heart soar, so delight me !

Gratitude:  I am so grateful that my son managed to take his SAT test today, despite waking up with terrible sinus issues going on.  I am grateful that I took my walk and time to myself today!  I am grateful for a beautiful conversation with my daughter and discussing her plans for the next year.  I am grateful for experiencing college with my mother(she went to the Community College with me and it was wonderful) and how strongly that experience led me to promote college to my children with the first three all going for advance degrees!

Tracey, congratulations to your daughter! I’m so sorry that your Mother passed away and missed this milestone. I was very close to my grandmother and even though she’s been gone for 15+ years I still miss her.
I can’t believe you live so close to Burlington Coat Factory. Talk about an incentive to walk LOL! Love those jeans on you!

Congratulations on your daughter’s accomplishment! I am sorry your mother was not there to enjoy it with you, I know she is missed. You look wonderful and no, you cannot have too many great checked jeans like these! Thanks for linking up to Visible Monday.

These jeans super cute!

Congrats to your daughter! I can only imagine how hard it is and was for your mother to miss these important milestones in you and your children’s lives.

You can never have too many checkered pants and I love yours paired with the floral shoes 🙂 Heather

Thank you and congrats to your daughter as well!

Tracey what a milestone you are passing, having your daughter graduate. Your daughter is fortunate to have such a supporting Mom. I imagine Mother’s Day can be a bit tender for you. Just remember your Mom is looking down on you with such pride . Love the pants and am starting to do that with shoes. If I find a pair I adore, I will buy them in many colors. You look great.

You are so compassionate understanding and kind. Thank you so much! I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day!

You’ll always miss your Mom, of course, and so often our late life plans don’t happen. I wish you joy when you remember that she planned to be at your daughter’s graduation, and know that she’ll be there with you all in that memory.
You look great … love your little shoes and pretty cool mom in your pink jeans! Congratulations on all your good news.

Thank you! Your kindness and taking time to comment matters!

Congratulations to your daughter and to you for raising such an incredible child. Tracy, you are looking so great these days and no, a girl cannot own enough checkered jeans, espeically when they fit so well. I look forward to seeing all your different combinations.
Sound like you will be having a wonderful Mother’s day, enjoy!

Thank you and she really is an incredible child! I am truly blessed and finally get to see the results of all my hard work as a mother!
