Navy and White For Summer!

Posted on: June 19, 2013

I opted to show my new Maxi yesterday, so now it’s time to show what I wore to my WW meeting..   Remember the key is to wear clothes of similar weight , so I opt for dresses or skirts on weigh in days.

I love navy blue and white together in summer.  This top was one I thrifted on my trip to the New Goodwill Outlet store in Hampton. I found this one among the blue bins and after much digging.  The purse is also thrifted from that same trip and was just $3.

IMG_0579Another thing I like for summer is wearing smaller scarfs as sashes.  This works for two reasons, they are more comfortable than a leather belt in the heat and humidity and it’s the perfect way to add a pattern.  This sash was actually a scarf that came with a blazer that is now long gone, but I kept this to wear as a belt and do so often.

IMG_0580  A woman in my WW meeting told me , “You look styling!”  She then went on to explain that “stylling” is a term her teenage granddaughter uses and it a huge compliment…

Dear Readers, This is a short one today, been a buzy day and I need to go relax and watch Royal Pains.. Before I go I would like to express my deepest sympathy’s for the family and friends  of James Gandolfini who passed away at the young age of just 51.
