Navy & Grey for Summer

Posted on: July 15, 2013

I often pair Navy and white for summer months, but thought Navy and Grey would work just as well for my casual mostly at home day.  It’s Monday afternoon and I’ve spent the past two days helping a freind move, so didn’t get photos until late this afteroon due to a really slow start to the day.

I think this color combo turend out nice and am happy to wear my owl pendant necklace, which I ordered from Ebay. I use to collect ceramic owls as a child and dreamed of having one for a pet.  It didn’t help when our local paper had a woman who was looking to take on her pet one when she died as they live such long lives.  I begged to call and offer to take him… My wise parents said no, but at the time I was heartbroken.

You can’t see very well, but I pulled my hair into a side pony tail, something I use to do all them time when I was much younger and worked the restaurant industry, which allowed me to carry the big trays on my left shoulder, since my pony tail was on the right.  I have a hair appointment scheduled for July 25th,  and am still not sure of what I am doing…

Dear Readers, A trend coming up for fall is Insect Jewelry , specifically Beetles, Spiders and Bees.  Is this a trend you would like to embrace.. I’m not find of the beetles at all, but love the amazing contribution in nature of the the bumble bee, so can see myself adding a pendant to my collection.

Gratitude

Grateful that yesterday’s move went so well and the wonderful people who all joined together to help a single mother move.

I am grateful that my two youngest boys helped in the move and gave it their all!

I am grateful that my husband who really worked wonders to pack the storage unit, using all the vertical space to the maximum to save the mother from having to spend more by moving up to a bigger unit.  It was truly a wonder to watch him in action.

I am grateful that my husband had taken today off work because our original plans involved a move out of state, but is recovering from all his acrobats and hard work.

I am grateful that we are both not too sore after such a physical day.

You look terrific, Tracey and I love the owl pendant. So, insects will be big? I will have to prepare for that trend : > Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!

I am crazy about your necklace!!!

Love your owl necklace! The navy and grey is an awesome color combo. It’s always a winner in my book because it’s Dallas Cowboys colors 🙂 Glad to hear the move went well and everyone pitched in to help!

Nice necklace, pretty sure we have the same one 🙂

Funny, it really does make a big impact, doesn’t it?

Looking very youthful and easily casual in the best way.
Let me know if you find “bees” … I’m looking for one, perhaps a small brooch!

I will keep my eyes out and let you know about the bee brooch! thanks for commenting.

I have that same owl necklace, got mine from Amazon.

It is a great pendant necklace and so fun to see others have it as well!
