Linking Up Today With Pinned it and Did It so go check it out/1
If you are a blogger, take note that to link up it doesn’t have to be fashion related, it can be a recipe or craft you made!
I love Pink and grey together, add in the white straight leg jeans and it’s a triple threat!
Alyssa from Matchy Match Midlife was my inspiration for this weeks look.
She has a wonderful blog, so head over and take a look!
I chose my thrifted Liz Claiborne seersucker jacket to wear on this still summer day of temps in the upper 80’s. A friend who is not really into fashion, told me these silver Franco Sarto sandals are more like dancing shoes when i wore them with this same outfit except a grey sequined top instead of the pink tank done here… I disagree and love them!
Dear Readers, Today was my first day of homeschooling my youngest for this year and he did really well. As an eigth grader he is taking all 9th grade classes except for Language Arts and he seems so proud of himself. I am so happy about this because in middle school he should have signed up for advanced classes, but do to the ” learning disabliity” we now call “a teaching disablility , as per Connor. Despite his intelligence he would have been held back academically from doing as his siblings before him had done. After years of listening to them tell me his disabilty would be gone by middle school because of his intelligence… So today i get to celebrate our success!
Dear Readers, whenever my children have success I am doing a happy dance! Do you feel that burst of energy when you see your child succeed no matter how small it is? I celebrate them all!
Gratitude
I am so grateful that I found the inner strength to brave homeschooling!
I am so grateful that my son gets to take ownership and responsibility for his education!
I am grateful that I researched and found that I could give my dog simethicone drops for his stomach pains and that it worked!
I am grateful for a walk to the grocery store with my daughter today!
I am grateful to my youngest for embracing these tougher classes today and pushing through without complaining!
I am grateful to be done with homework frustrations!

Hi, Thank you for introducing yourself. Nice to meet you. Ah, so you have that same dress? Thats interesting. Like I said, not sure if I love it. I love your cute outfit today. Great re-creation on your part.

I LOVE this outfit! What a great color combo and you look amazing. So glad to hear you had a successful first day of homeschooling also. You are a great mom 🙂 Thanks for linking up!

Love the pink and grey together!

I am wearing similar colors today! I have on white capris (thrifted), my shirt is more of a maroon, and instead of a jacket, I am wearing a gray animal print sweater (thrifted) and silver flats. I got the idea from Pinterest as well! Imagine my happy surprise when I saw your picture!
I am a teacher, and I get so excited when my students show progress! I work with kindergartners so everything they do is progress, and what they accomplish from the beginning of the year to the end is tremendous. I often do a “happy dance” (literally) when they are successful. I try to do that with my 15 yr. old when she achieves something, but she doesn’t find it too cool! 🙂

Love the color scheme and the “dancing shoes”. 😀

You did a great job recreating the look! I love how your blazer is striped, which adds a little something extra to the outfit. 🙂
So wonderful to hear that your son is thriving with the homeschooling!

Great job Tracey…you nailed it! ;o)
xo,
Alyssa

I just recently found your blog and am enjoying scrolling through it. I have just begun our first year homeschooling with our youngest. After years of struggles, with every “dys’ label that the school professionals tried to pin her with, we have decided there is such a thing as dysteachia.

I love the shoes too. They really tie in the jacket and add a touch of class. So nice to hear about your success with homeschooling. Especially for your son! I also saw much success during the time I was able to homeschool.
