Brights…

Posted on: September 18, 2013

I missed my Weight Watcher meeting for the second week in a row… this makes me sad, but alas not feeling well trumps any effort to get out and going… sinus pressure and headaches, sore throats in the morning make it tough to face the day… Thank goodness it gets better as the day goes on with the help of medicine and just sitting up rather than laying down…

Regardless, the good news is no weight gain…

Linking up today with What I Wore , so many other bloggers to see…

I managed to get it together enough to go grocery shopping and had lots of fun with my husband accompanying me.

We use to love going shopping together, especailly when we have plenty of time and do it in a leisurley manner…

We were at BJ’s and looked through all the clothes, I tried on two faux leather jackets that I loved and we bought him a jacket

as he really needed one.

Today was a day for brights and a flirty skirt…

Sweater, belt , purse and shoes all from Goodwill

Grateful

I am grateful that I felt well enough to have fun shopping with my DH today.

I am grateful that my son brought me hsi paper to edit and that he loved my suggestions and appreciated my insights.

I am grateful that my youngest fianlly seemed to get some relief from his headache.

I am grateful for a break from homeschooling, even if it’s because we are not feeling well.

I am grateful to my husband for taking today’s photos as normally it’s one of my children who does so…

I love these colours together! And your hair looks great 🙂

Pretty as always in green. My hubby doesn’t like to clothes shop, but we do enjoy our weekly outings for groceries together for some reason. Glad to know we’re not the only ones that like couple food shopping. haha Yes, our weather is starting to change. Dipping into the 60’s this week with rain. I’m having to dress warmer sooner than I’d like…but I’d better get used to it and make this transition.

Cute outfit with pretty colors. How nice to have fun shopping with your husband. It’s cool here, upper 50’s. Soon it will be cold and gray, day after day. I would love to live somewhere with a milder climate and more sunshine.

Where do you live?
My DH moved me to the Boston area when we were fist married.. I lasted from August til the end of Feb. before asking him to bring me back to VA Beach and joke that we are still married today because he said, yest! The gray days and lack of sun are what I couldn’t handle.

I’m in Wisconsin. Our forecast today is 86. The weather here tends to b very unpredictable. But you can definitely count on long months of overcast and lack of sunshine through winter.

That makes winter harder, but a lot of places have that. How do you counter the lack of sun to keep your mood up?

I have some full spectrum lights I can sit in front of. But I often don’t (too busy or forget…) and a lot of years I will plan a vacation to a sunny place for February or March. I can’t afford to do this every year and now that I’m not working I don’t know when I will be able to again. It really helps to have something to like that to look forward to.

Yes, winter vacations to sunny locations and the anticipation of those can definintely be helpful… I would so sit with those lights! I think cardio exercize would be helpful as well.

Yes, cardio is supposed to lift your mood. I am working on trying to incorporate enough of it to see the benefit. I’m still at the point where a walk outside does lift my mood, but a walk on the treadmill does not! Not very helpful in the middle of winter. But I’m working on that too. Thanks for the reminder, it helps me stick with it.

After years of not taking the best care of myself… I am now the champion for women to do so.

So pretty! You are really getting a lot of use from this awesome green skirt. My husband is just like a kid at the grocery store 🙂 I have to tell him to stick to the list, lol!

funny! mine does a good job of sticking to the list, but he has already had his input as I ask everyone what they want…

I really love this look – especially that skirt! Hope you’re feeling better soon!

thanks, me too.. weather changes up and down never help and we are due to be back in the 80’s by Friday…

You look great. Such a cute outfit. Our weather here in FL won’t be getting any cooler for at least another month!

Sometimes we weight until Halloween but not in the 80’s like it’s been… We are headed back to 80 by Friday.. I love Fall and want it to arrive so I can layer and wear boots.. What are your temps in FL now?

We’re in the low 90s now. I’m hoping for low 80s by the end of October. I like your weather much better.

JUst wanted to say thank you for using me as your pinspiration. Love your outfit. Those boots are fabulous. Thank you for linking up today. See you next Thursday.

Agi:)
