Secret Country Girl at Heart

Posted on: October 2, 2013

I’ve always said there are many sides to me.

In my 20’s I had a pair of cowboy boots that I adored and completely wore out.

I never replaced them as my Boston born husband wasn’t fond of them..

There is something that happens in our 40’s for women , where we literally bloom into ourselves and part of that for me is going back to that love of just a little southern style,  every once in awhile.

I love that even with temps near 80, that I can still represent Fall colors.

I also love any chance to use the Dooney and Bourke purse a friend gifted me.

I love my tree poses, it’s a dear friend.

I added a touch of modesty hear with a little cami , as I am a mother to 3 son’s and don’t think they want to see my cleavage!

The necklace is one I picked up in February on the Cayman trip.

Feeling like I am in my twenties again and wanting to go dancing…..

A little pause her to say, I  purchased this Loft sundress from Ebay the day my husband came home and announced the contest for the cruise,  in hopes of wearing it on that trip.  I also bought a maxi dress ,as I knew trying to find anything off season would be difficult. I really hope that the fiasco and the lowest month ever in September can be turned around, as my husband and I so wanted to enjoy a first cruise together…

Dear Readers, Today was a day of recovery with residuals from the migraine including nauseau, but I soldiered on and was able to homeschool today.  Women really are strong and we all possess a Wonder Woman gene in us!  Can you relate to that?  Do you have a Wonder Woman moment to share?  If too shy to say your own how about one of your own mother?  Or sister?  I’ve tols you mine before, delivering my mother’s eulogy!  There are really big WW moments and smaller one like mine today.

Gratitude

I am grateful for the example of the Wonder Women in my life who set the example and give me strength.

I am grateful that my magraine disappaited and made for a better day, than yesterday.

I am grateful that even in 8th grade Language Arts, that the probram is talking about writing a college admissions essay.

Iam grateful for my Dear Readers who leave comments and for each and every one of them!

I am grateful and humbled by seeing that my blog reaches so many different countries each day!

I LOVE this outfit Tracey! The dress is perfectly paired with the boots. Great look 🙂 I agree with women being strong and like wonder woman. My husband tells me all the time that I am the rock and the glue that holds our family together.

First off, so sorry about your migraine. A good friend of mine suffers through it and its painful to watch her. Hope you are feeling good soon. Secondly, you are rocking the boots! I can never wear them, because of my thinner calves, and that is such a big bummer for me, because I would love to own a pair of cowboy boots!! And lastly, gratitude towards good things in life is what keeps us sane and grounded..Cheers..

Thank you and my migraine situation is getting better. A shame your calves don’t allow for cowboy boots, So funny , that they make boots for wider calves, but not thinner ones… Yes, my gratitude section keeps me grounded!

I love the colours and textures in this outfit!
