What does one wear on an unseasonably warm December Day?
My answer began with : White Jeans
Sorry for these pics, I took them around 4:30 at dusk…I hope you don’t mind but you will be seeing shots in front of my husband’s new tradition of the live tree in the front yard…
I threw this outfit togther so quickly it really surpised me…I loved the idea of navy with the white jeans so grabbed this paisley tunic and belted it with a corduroy belt that use to belong to a skirt I no longer own. My Navy pumps from Payless and ponte knit jacket I picked up from Sam’s Club finished off today’s look. The addition of my newest hat found recently at K-mart (which is so funny since I am not a big fan of K-mart and rarely go in them…)
I loved how spunky I felt in my skinnies, pumps and hat!
Dear Readers, I just want to let you know I am completely past whatever that funk was when I faced the photos of my former self and relived the pain for a day… It really is amazing the difference a day can make! I love that I embrace all my emotions and just move through them back to my cheery self! I think that is the greatest thing I’ve learned from this journey of gaining and losing weight. Stuffing my emotions was what caused the weight gain, and I am a quick learner of my mistakes that don’t fit with loving myself. I literally say to myself, ” Not going there again!”
Gratitude
I am so grateful for my dearest friend and the amazing conversations of positivity and recognizing the daily miracles happening to us and our friends!
I am grateful for the fun phone call from my husband today as he is thoroughly enjoying his new job.
I am grateful for the opportunity that happens with a misunderstanding that allows me to teach my children life lessons in being there own best friend and to watch out for faulty thinking that doesn’t serve them well. FYI- today’s lessons- to remember to never subsitute someone else’s judgement for your own, to take in what is said and see if it has value or not. In addition to never use what someone else says as fuel to beat yourself up…
I am grateful for my strong faith and knowing that my parents are together and that one day I will be with them again!
