Tickled Pink!

Posted on: January 3, 2014

While still in bed this morning watching my husband get ready for his first day of his new job, I told him I was “tickled pink’ for him…

Being a fashionista and blogger my creative, ADD brain instantly started envisioning an outfit to fit my mood!

I bought this pink utility jacket from F21 for my daughter for Christmas to go with all the greys she likes to wear… she didn’t think this was a good color for her, so I happily gave her the money to find something more to her liking and added this to my obsessive collection of jackets…

I really liked this Mom on the Go look am so excited that my husband would be home for dinner, Dear Readers, it has been 13 years since my husband worked a job allowing him to be home for a family dinner.  Since we spent New Years Day getting his office in order, I neglected to cook my Grandmothers favorite New Year’s tradition of Ham, so decided to do it today!

I also finally got back into my closet and began putting away the three piles of clothes I had scattered around my bedroom… You see I stored the Xmas gifts in suitcases in my closet and they got in the way, soooo hence the build up of piles in my room…

Dear Readers, I am gushing with such joy as this job is something that is tailor made to fit my husband’s passions and experience.  He has had a marketing mindset for as long as I’ve known him, gathered 22 years of sales experience and what fills his soul is to inspire others to achieve greatness.  I loved when he use to speak to high school seniors as a college recriuter and would get back surveys and come home to read how much his speeches inspired those young adults… While this is very different, he will breathe new life and vibrancy in this company that has been passed down to the next generation, which offers a place for my husband’s experience to really help them grow.

Divine Order is so in play with all of this and someday soon I may write a post about that, but for now going to finish with not my Gratitude, but….

Why I am Tickled Pink Today!

I am tickled pink to cook dinner for my hard working husband!

I am tickled pink that my kids all pitched in to help me!

I am tickled pink that I spent part of my day grocery shopping with my oldest and getting him to try new vegetables in support of his lifestyle.

I am tickled pink that my daughter didn’t want this jacket and that now that I ‘ve lost weight, I can confiscate it!

I am tickled pink over my husband’s boss telling him today that there are other territories for him to take-over and that further promotion is in his near future.

A day of wonderful events…a family dinner, ham is always good, and getting to keep a jacket you bought for your daughter…..sounds like your year is off to a great start!

Hello, I am new to Your blog. I like the way you match boots and coats or jackets. How do you manage to do that? Do you bring the coat With you when you shop for boots, I mean to get the the right nuance? Of corce one can do that, but it would be rarher dificult when shopping online. Do you have any advice, thank you!

Actually I shop for a lot of my boots online and have them first. While the jackets don’t always match perfectly, I make sure they are in the same hues so as not to clash. I guess I’ve just always had an eye for that… Of course if I didn’t feel confidence I would wear the boots and go to a brick and mortar store to pick out a jacket…
