Teal and Brown

Posted on: January 14, 2014

Since we had temperatures around 60F, I decided it was a good day for a blouse and vest look.

I don’t wear blouses very often but like them so need to break them out more often…

I see so many bedding options in the brown and teal color combo and am always attracted to them, so that translated into today’s  outfit.. Remember outfit inspiration can come from anywhere if you are open  to the idea...

I thrifted both the blouse and vest from Goodwill,,, In fact I don’t buy blouses or vests anywhere but thrift stores…My pants are by Kasper sportswear given to me by my sister prior to my weight gainning years and one of the few things I kept knowing full well I would get back into size 6!

My Purse was found at Steinmart two years ago and remains a favorite with it’s faux ostrich texture.  I stalked this purse until it went on sale…. The statement necklace I purchased on Ebay, but for some reason my purchase history is not accessible to put the link here, sorry…. These Mootsie Tootsie pumps are such fun as they are fuzzy and have a little sparkle and sheen to  them…

Dear Readers,  I don’t always list where I got items I am wearing because a lot of times I’ve purchased things that are no longer available like Ebay items or online clearance specials or even thrifted items… I hope that you can still get some ideas from outfits I put together using similar items or color inspiration with items you have already, but wouldn’t think to pair together….I also hope you are inspried to find items at bargain prices instead of breaking the bank…

Do you ever get inspired to put together outfits from home decor items ????

Gratitude

I am grateful that my son took back the sweater to Steinmart that my husband went to put on this morning and noticed the security tag still attached- now DH can wear it tomorrow!

I am grateful that DH is in management again and wearing different clothes daily, instead of the “uniform” he created for himself when out selling…

I am grateful that I get to shop for some new clothes for my husband and that he likes most of what I bring home for him to try, if not at first , most grow on him!

I am grateful that Suntrust replaced my debit card since I did make purchases during the holiday fiasco and in fact had misplaced my card since Saturday….

I am grateful that my homeschooler took it upon himself to complete both his math and language arts lessons immediatley after breakfast, with no prodding from me!!!!

I am grateful that my daughter cooked up a roast with veggies for dinner, that will last us a few nights, so no cooking for me tomorrow either!

I love the combination of blues and browns. In fact, I’m more comfortable with brown as a neutral than I am black for my personal dressing. I love to thrift blouses, too. I always seem to find more interesting ones that way.

that color combination looks great on you

I love blues and browns together, too. I like your outfit and your Steinmart bag.

Thanks and too funny when I clicked on your name and found your posting on Argan oil , when I posted my favorite make up line infused with it….
