Concluding Third Completer Pieces…
Posted March 4, 2014
on:This fourth posting on Third Completer Pieces will complete the Series ….
I don’t know what’s next, but although the vertigo has disapated, a feeling of equilibrium and nauseaa still remains,so to be honest… I am staying in my pj’s and just taking it very easy as I nurse my way through this sinus infection…
Today to finish the Third Completer Piece Series, I will be showing 3 Types…
Ponchos, Kimonos/Sheers and Shrugs
First up ponchos, which I just began wearing this season…
Ebay has been a great place for me to find what I was looking for in Ponchos, as it was important for my Petite Height to find shorter versions that wouldn’t overwhelm me… It seems like the ones I was finding in stores were all too long and very oversized…
This purple one by Old Navy began my journey into ponchos and was found at Goodwill
This grey striped version I scored from Ebay and while it is a great extra layer over a cashmere turtleneck as worn here, but the great part is that this one is almost sheer and very lightweight, so can be multi -seasonal!
I still may add side seams closer to my body, on this oversized version I bought off Ebay, as I didnt lose all that weigth to dress in such shapeless garments… Although next Fall trends promises to be more oversized, fluid sihouettes…
I recently bought a few lighter ones while thrifting for Spring and Summer and even purchased a new sweater one in a bright teal like color from Ebay… I love wearing ponchos as they bring back such fun memories of my childhood when I so adored them…Thanks Mom for all the ponchos you bought me over the years… I also think they suit my boho side…
Sheer Kimono styles are a great Completer Piece that I wear mostly in Spring and Summer over tank tops…
This one I found at Steinmart
This multi colored floral one I also found at Steinmart..
I wear this one both open and tied at the waist…
This one I have in three colors and mostly wear tied at the waist, but when I bought them online (website no longer exists, but was a sister company to Chadwicks) they were shown worn open…
Instead of tying this one at my waist, I opted to tie it higher for more like a shrug length….
I also love knitted shrugs to wear with dresses in Summer, Still reeling over that day when my daughter received her Bachelor’s Degree at Longwood University….
This white one is more sweater like and not the open weaved version tthat is more popular…
I have more shrugs, but can’t seem to locate outfit photos, so guess this summer I will make sure to take more of those… I have good luck finding shrugs at Goodwill, BJ’s, Sam’s Club , Steinmart and Burlington Coat Factory…
I added two new Kimonos from Forever 21 recently… Here is what they have to offer in Kimonos…
I look forward to styling my kimonos this Spring and Summer and know they will add a lot to my boho style..
Dear Readers, while the vertigo is better, I am still experiencing equilibrium problems and that disoriented feeling that comes along with it. My fever is better, and I hope this means I am on the mend… I know that sometimes sinus infections can hang on and this one seems to be doing so… I am on day four of antibiotics… Hope you are all well! I had a really hard time concentrating on putting this blog post together due to the disoreintated feeling, so may take a break for a few days..
PS…. Yesterday we got Snow, Snow in MARCH?????

Hi, Tracey. Just checking in. It’s not like you to go post free for this many days. I hope the sinus problems don’t still have you down. I’ve had a few instances of vertigo…one that sent me home from work and to bed…throwing up. It was just horrible. I hope you’re better. Hugs.

Thanks, Lisa, a full week of sinus infection and I am sick of being sick… since I am not prone to full out infections, i had no idea what to expect, but hear that two weeks is common… The fever is gone, the full vertigo is better, but feeling disoreintated and off with sinus pressure and pain. Loving my netti pot , hot showers and meds…Got dressed for the first time today… not going anywhere though… Hope to at least be up to posting pics soon as I am itching to do a week of Green looks for St. Patrick’s Day…
