Nail Trends for Spring 2014 & Monumental Gratitude
Posted March 11, 2014
on:WELL Full blown, vertigo returend today and a low grade fever… YUCK!
I also have two children who are having sinus issues and feeling lousy…
So no Outfit pics today…
I have been very frustrated with my nails and spent some of this sick time looking into nail trends for the Spring
One trend I liked makes so much sense for the Spring
Pastels…
I ordered this set from Amazon for $8.50
Since sheers and neutrals are also a trend for Spring Nails, I bought this set as well… I liked how it had everything from a peach shade to pink and even some tan neutrals…
The next trend was Metallics, so I opted for this final set again from
I also ordered this Navy one for $7.10 because I love wearing navy and white a lot during Summer…
Speaking of White, That too was listed as a big Nail Trend for Spring 2014…
Dear Readers, I have a terrible time growing my nails as they break quite often with housework…. I am going to try a new vitamin for nails and hair to see if that helps but if anyone has any good results for something that worked for them I would love it if you would share it by writing a comment, as you could help me and other readers who may suffer the same dilema…
So, Any ideas for those of us who have nails that grow only so long before breaking?
Seriously seeking answers my wise readers….
Gratitude
I am grateful that my son is liking the current book he is reading, he just came out at 11:30 pm to tell me he was in bed thinking about a part of the book he wanted to share with me. This truly is a miracle moment for this child who got such a bad start and a true testament that I made the right decision to homeschool him… tears well up in me as I type this as I was so scared over whether I would truly be able to turn this all around , but I knew that keeping him in school would only make things worse. I couldn’t have imagined this moment! I’m sticking with just this one Gratitude today, as it is all I can think about and it is so monumental that it deserves to stand all on it’s own.

I love nail polish! I have the same problem with my nails getting to a certain point before they break. Actually keeping my nails painted regularly helped my nails get stronger. Not sure if it’s the nail polish that actually makes them stronger or not, but it seems to work. The colors you picked out are pretty! You should give us a review of what you think.

Biotin supplements make my hair and nails stronger- you may consider trying it. Hope it helps!

Tracy, How thrilling that your son is reading and loving it. I’m a teacher and know the joy of finally having a child come to love reading. Would you mind sharing with me the name of the book your son is reading so I could recommend it to my students? Thanks!

My son is reading a book his brother read in middle school advanced English, The Giver by Lois Lowry.

Oh, yes. We read The Giver as our whole group novel each year. (I teach 8th graders.) Very thought-provoking book. So happy that your son is liking it, if that’s the right word, and obviously “getting it” (not all kids do), since he’s wanting to read parts of it to you.
P.S. I would have home-schooled my son myself, except that it was illegal in Texas when he went through. He had a very difficult time in public school.

My son is an eighth grader as well, his brother read it in 7th. I wish I had home schooled my oldest… I have immense admiration for middle school teachers, the hardest age for children!
