I am on a Boho Kick…

Posted on: May 1, 2014

How can a fashionista have fun with outfits to lift her spirts when clouds are grey?

Well this woman decided to find ways to be Boho without the use of long skirts…

After all who wants to get them wet or muddy?

For today’s version, I stuck to all one color of brown…

But that doesn’t have to be boring…

The sheer tunic print keeps this from being boring.

In addition the sheer fabric in combination with the suede vest offers a juxtaposition of light femine fabrication with a more tough heavy leather…

When wearing brown I tend to change my blush from a pink shade to an orange shade, as well as putting an orange lipstick…

The necklace is a pin that belonged to my mother, who I am missing these dasy as we get closer to Mother’s Day…

For extra texture, you can’t beat a faux ostrich handbag…

I think the bare ankle and Aersoles Mules puts this outfit into perspective that it is Spring…

Dear Readers, It didn’t even occur to me that I was embracing this week of grey skies and rain by going boho without the long skirts, but after day 3 of that going around in my head as I was picking out an outfit, it hit me that it had become a pattern…So, can I come up with one more look that fits that to end the week????  The pressure is on!!!

I am grateful that my morning headache and sore throat subsided after meds and a nap.

I am grateful to have made lunch plans for next week with a dear friend.

I am grateful that my 18 year old has taken my photos these last few days and made great effort to do a better job, after I mentioned that he hadn’t been doing so..

I am grateful for steady paychecks with my husband’s new job that allows me to put money in savings and take care of these crazy expenses of getting a daughter ready for Boston winters and a son ready for graduation… Unless you’ve experienced 100% commission job and the ups and downs of that you truly can’t appreciate how consistentancy feels..

Cute outfit! It’s nice to be able to lift our spirits by wearing something that feels right. Looking forward to what you put together for tomorrow! 😊
