Today begins a three week Summer Style Me Challenge
Designed by Alison from Get Your Pretty On
Today’s look was all about brights and whites….
I changed my original bottom choices to these checkered summer light weight jeans by Diane Gilman that I own in 3 colors..
The texture of the peasant blouse, along with the sheer material and the cuffed sleeves and tie hanging with silver metal beads hanging down the shirt all add enough interest for my maximal style preference. Then of course the necklace and three bracelets help too..
I spent most of the day with my broken toe elevated as I really over did it with Graduation Celebrating and Father’s Day and felt it today! Gotta say that elevating it all day did help!
The white Birki’s were the only comfortable shoe that worked for the day, but I have to say for proportions for my petite height and curvy hips I would have perferred to pair this with my green wedge sling back sandals…
This wearing flats for the next month is going to get tough!
I chose to add this new fedora from F21 to bookend the shade in the thrifted purse and I think it created the balance I was looking for. In fact I like the mix with the whites…
Dear Readers, as part of the Summer Style Me Challenge we have a private Facebook page where everyone is posting their versions of the outfit suggestions Alison e-mails nightly. It truly is a fun part of the process. If you can’t join this Summer one, I highly recommend trying her next one in the Fall… The women in this are all supportive and fun!
Gratitude
I am grateful that my dear daughter had the day off and cleaned up for me before going out for the night.
I am grateful that we had quick food for dinner that allowed my youngest to be self sufficient and allow me to keep my foot resting…
I am grateful that I didn’t need to do my usual run to the grocery store for anything.
I am grateful for a day of rest after a week of preparation and celebration.

Thank you, I just naively thought ‘tape it up and get on with it” which was the wrong approach.. Now that celebrations weekend is over I am paying more attention!
