Peek-A-Boo!

Posted on: July 3, 2014

Mother Nature Helped to reveal my Outfit’s Secret…

We are just days away from either Tropical Storm or Hurricane Arthur reaching us…

That usually means a preamble of windy days…

This is my new slip with a lace bottom by Sexy Modest, to lengthen a skirt or dress…

This dress is actually black, and I think it will work better for me to get that color for this dress..

I see a black and an ivory lace slip in my future…

I ‘ve reserved this dress for Fall and Winter with tights or legggings due to it’s length.

I bought this dress from F21 and missed the fact that the elastic waist needed to be bloused , taking up some of the length…

I actually went bowling today and wore something completely different, but changed into this because I couldn’t wait to try this out…

I’ve already played with this under a few tops that are longer tunics that just miss being a dress on my petite height and it worked beautifully…

I guess the key would be not to wear something this light weight sheer materail on a windy day to alleviate the

Peek A Boo…

Dear Readers, Isn’t it funny that I hated wearing a slip as a young girl

and now in my late fourties and willing to embrace them???

Gratitude

I am grateful for a wonderful conversation with my daughter, she’s been so busy we’ve just been ships passing in the night…

I am grateful for a really fun day of bowling and the interest the Alley managers have in trying to form an organized league for homeschoolers…

I am grateful for a wonderful conversation with the Alley manager and sharing my reason to homeschool and her sharing an horrific experience with a teacher when her son was young…

I am grateful for my decision and strength to go against the grain and choice to homeschool this child!

I am grateful that the bowling has been good for my teen who is a perfectionist and gets frustrated and angry , but is learing to actually laugh when he doesn’t do well and have fun regardless of the outcome…(today was his lowest scoring game ,yet he had the most fun!)

Your denim vest is the perfect topper for this fun dress. Loved the gratitude journal. It’s a great practice to get into!

Thanks Alison! The Gratitude journal keeps me grounded and I hope inspires others!

Your dress is really cute!! And, I need one of those slips! Is yours true to size? Be careful with the hurricane.
