Loving my Wedges…

Posted on: August 4, 2014

After breaking my little toe in mid-June and being deprived of my wedges…

I am so happy to be able to sport them again…

I am definitely on Team Wear…

That means wearing new items as soon as possible after getting them…

For me it’s been using my two new purses…

I love pairing all shades of Navy and Green together…

These cargo joggers from F21 are heavier weight and almost too much so for my hot Summers…

Today was spent shopping, so cold AC made this doable…

Today’s shopping was Bj’s to get normal groceries and then in addition items for my son who is heading to VCU in 11 days and counting….

Razors, blades, toiletries , cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, toilet paper , etc made for a whopping total at the register today..

I expect next week when we go back to stock him up with some groceries, it will be about the same ….

With the navy in my top, shoes and purse,

I added glass bead necklace in greens and green earrings for some balance…

Notice the white tags showing through my sweater????

I’ve worn this shirt several times and never noticed that…

I cut them off while sitting at the desk as soon as I saw this photo….

Loving my new purse from Just Fab…

Dear Readers, There realll is a lot to do in the coming days to get my son ready to go off to college… This morning he went for TB testing and almost passed out… So glad his father took him… You see my husband has been the one to take all the kids for shots and when they were little insisted on holding them , even arguing with doctors who wanted to put them up on a table… It is fitting that he finished the job for this last school shots and testing…

Gratitude

I am grateful that my husband is doing so well at his job and we have the money to do all these wonderful things for our dear son, before we have to leave him at college…

I am grateful for the fun my son and I had shopping for all the items today..

I am grateful for precooked meat and salad for an easy no-cook dinner.

I am grateful that we have a keyless entry and my dear niece who comes early can use the code and let herself in and I can get a little more much needed sleep ..

Great outfit. I just bought wedges too. Once they are broken in they are so comfy

I’ve had these wedges for years and am so happy my broken toe healed! Hope you are breaking those new wedges in!

How did you find out that your toe was broken? What did they do about it? It sounds terrifying

Trust me there was no doubt that little toe was broken… It swelled and hurt terribly… The only thing to do was elevate my foot, take Ibuprofen and tape it to the next toe… Taping it realing did help..After showering and leaving the tape off for a few minutes always hurt worse… Not really terrifying as much as a pain in the neck and having to wear flats for a month…

Ouch. I can’t walk in flats. Hope you could

I love the look of navy and this green together too! Great combination! I remember shopping with my parents before they dropped me off at college and yes, its was pricey! But it was such an exciting time to be out on my own. I remember a lot of things I learned that year weren’t necessarily academic, just lessons about life and responsibility.

Oh, and I totally could have really used a keyless entry this past week when my son walked home from school carrying a heavy backpack AND cello in 113 degree weather only to find I was gone and the house was locked up tight. 😦

Ah , yes keyless entry was a good project for DH and much appreciated by us all…
Yee, the lessons of that first year of college really are of upmost importance and why I encourage my children to go away to school… My oldest stayed home.. wish he had gone away too, but not right decision for him…With two going away by the end of the month, I am freaking out a bit…So much money to put out…

Great color combo and I love your new purse, Tracey. I am really loving neutrals right now and finding myself wanting to gear my wardrobe more in that direction for basics and then adding accessories (like your pretty necklace…or scarves) to complete the look. Although I still have bright color days, I think my future purchases are going to be more neutrals for the staple pieces. It’s interesting to see how my vision of where I want to be style-wise is changing over the years….
