I finally embraced a peplum top and am totally hooked..

These graphic print pants are my favorite bottoms of the season!

Flat sandals in a great two tone color were a life saver with my broken toe of the Summer…

This look earned a seal of approval from youngest on our bowling day,

when he declared that I looked like a Mom…

I love this open weaved sweater, the cargo joggers and my new navy purse…

The navy and green color combo is among my favorites!

Since I am not the biggest fan of shorts, this as a favorite is a big surprise,

How could I not like it with a beautiful sheer kimono?

The Sporty trend with white walking shoes and a ball gap…

A relaxed very comfy look…

After 5 years of holding onto my mother’s Ked’s , I broke them out for yet another sporty look,

so of course this holds a special place in my heart…

A classic Mom on the Go …

Jean skirt, tank and sweater with comfy lace shoes…

Dear Readers, I loved the comfortable shoes more than anything else this season… Of course with my broken toe that was a bit of a necessity for a good chunk of the Summer… I also loved wearing fedoras and now own three….With Temps still so hot, I am looking forward to Fall, but know full well it’s going to take it’s time….

Gratitude

I am grateful that I stayed home, being careful of my sciatica, while DH and my two youngest son’s traveled to Boston to move my daughter into her apartment…I am loving the alone time…

I am grateful that my 18 year old is loving his first two weeks of college and the city life of Richmond, while remaining firm in his morals.

I am grateful my 18 year old came home for the weekend and was able to go on the Boston trip.

I am grateful that everything worked out for my daughter and she finally found room mates that felt right!

I am grateful to our dear friends for loaning us their trailer to lug all that stuff ….

I am grateful for the quality time my 3 guys are having on their road trip and the fun memories they are making…

Photo: We made it two hours to Richmond . Dropped off Nicholas's car and hit the local Friendliy's. Continuing on up to Dedham!

My trio of handsome guys on their way to my daughter who flew ahead to Boston for orientation…

Notice DH is wearing a Patriots shirt as he heads back to his childhood home…

You got a pair of Birkenstocks? So trendy and brave!

Ha, Ha, if one pair is Brave, what’s three pairs??? I have white, black and pink…

Sounds like your children’s moves have gone well! I remember the great relief when my daughters found good roommates when they were in college.

I love Birkenstocks! When I developed plantar fasciitis over 10 years ago, they kept me going – literally. I am still careful and still wear them most of the time – especially while teaching school where long halls and tile floors prevail. I found some with wedge heels years ago on an online German site and love them the most. Unfortunately, the style is no longer available but I take good care of the ones I have. Your Birks look cute with your outfits!

Yes with age comes wisdom when it comes to comfy shoes… My broken toe sparked me to buy a few pairs this season… Now, I am hooked…Besides they work well with my Boho style… The wedge ones sound great!

I really enjoy reading your posts! It is so much fun to see the new looks you create for yourself! Your words of gratitude are so heartwarming as well! God bless you and your wonderful family!

Thank you Ana, so sweet and bless you for your kindness!

Sounds like all is going well with the school moves. I hope your new season continues smoothly and you enjoy watching your kids experience new things.

Thank you,, it is a beautiful time in life to hand over the reigns to your adult children and watch them succeed .
