I AM READY FOR FALL, MY BOOTS AND LAYERS!
It’s so hard with School Starting this week and the End of Summer
To be experiencing a Heat wave…
It’s even harder to take blog photos with the recycling trash collector truck at the end of your driveway…
I think it was as equally hard for my 14 year old photographer….
During this pose the wonderful trash guy decided to yell out,
“Nice Photos!”
All I could think was well at least he was respectful and didn’t make me cringe or want to cover my son’s ears…
I was grateful they were down the street and out of view when I struck this pose…
This was my solution for a quick outfit appropriate for both the heat and a walk to the grocery store
Dear Readers, Today was my first day Homeschooling High School!
I originally planned to just homeschool through middle school and put him back in, but after really seeing unprepared the school system admittedly is for auditory learners, my plans changed. We had a fabulous day and I am tempted to do a cartwheel, but alas reality hits and my sciatica and my age is catching up to me…
Can you believe Monday, I will be celebrating my 49th Birthday???!!!!!!
Instyle Magazine is reporting a new styling trick that is going to be popular trend for Fall
Using a thin belt to over a scarf that is left hanging…..
So Dear Readers, Is this Something You Will Try?
I know with my scarf addiction, it’s right up my alley…
Gratitude
I am grateful for a wonderful first day of homeschooling and how mature he seems compared to last Fall!
I am grateful that my husband was home most of the day, even if he did interrupt our process!
I am grateful that as I type this my son is reading in his room and coming out to tell me new words he’s learned the spelling for!
I am grateful for phone conversations with my two college children today!
I am grateful that my 18 year old is joining clubs and especially one to learn the piano, and he has a girl across the hall teaching him guitar…
I am grateful that my two guys will have something to reconnect them when they are together for college breaks and summer as my youngest is starting the piano as well. ( the reason my older son joined the club to learn)

Love this outfit…Love the printed dress. Looks so cool and casual. You always look so good though. I was going to tell you that my middle daughter is homeschooling two of my grandsons this year. She home schooled all three of them when they were like kindergarten and 1st grade age. But then put them in public school. The two younger ones did good, but the older one (he’s turned 13 this July) has a form of autism, so he struggled. And the teacher for his 5th grade was horrible. He went to the Middle School last year for 6th grade, and he didn’t do well in anything, except band. He started playing the trumpet. But he got NO help at all from the teachers or counselors and it was just like he dropped through the cracks. Anyway, my daughter had several meetings with the school board, and other home schooling parents and so the two older boys started home schooling this past Tuesday after Labor Day. So far so good. The youngest is in 5th grade and he is still at the public school. Only because the two 5th grade teachers he has are wonderful. All three of the boys are adopted. My daughter and son in law were foster parents, they couldnt have children of their own so the adopted. We’ve had all the boys since they were born, so they’ve always been ours, you know? They are now 13,12 and 10. I am so proud of them. They are really sweet kids. I also have 2 little grand daughters, my older daughter. The girls are 12 and 10. It’s a ton of fun when they are all at my house for cookouts and such. Please continue to write on your son’s home schooling progress. It is exciting to hear. I hope my boys will do as well as your son sounds like he is doing. Have a great weekend! Joyce

It should come as no surprise to you, but there seems to be a huge amount of children on the autistic spectrum whose parents are pulling them out to home school. Congratulations to your daughter for taking on this challenge! Your support means everything as so many times extended families support the traditional route and make it difficult! Yes, those babies are all yours in your heart, I am looking forward to being a grandmother when the time is right. Thanks for commenting and you have a wonderful weekend as well!
