Football Season Has Arrived!

Posted on: September 8, 2014

There is nothing I love more about Fall than Football Season,

When you lose your father at just 13 like I did,

those memories are precious..

One of my father’s strongest legacy’s is my love of the game and his team!

A great start the the season with a divisional win and the loss by Baltimore who we play Thursday Night…

You’ve gotta Love Thursday night FOOTBALL!

When I post this, it will be my 49th birthday… a birthday my father never had, since he passed at just 42.

Can’t help , but feel sentimental during times like these…

We had a very cloudy day, so no sunglasses needed…

I haven’t worn my heels much due to my broken toe, but loved sporting these today…

My purse from JustFab is fast becoming a favorite

Dear Readers, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

The days are going to be flying by as, the Ireland trip is in 28 days…

I’ve packed everything except for underclothing and toiletries…I think that some would say that’s my Virgo nature….

I chose to do black, grey, cream burgundy/deep red and navy as my colors for the trip.

I know I am probably taking too much, but that’s in my nature too… I am lucky that DH encourages me to take many choices…

I’ve noticed DH has some holes in his casual wardrobe and am buying him a few more pairs of pants.

He is good with shirts, sweaters, shoes, and jackets.

I am grateful for the fun of Football season and the way it brings our family together, despite different teams.

I am grateful for a call from my son at college to just catch up with me, he really is a great son!

I am grateful that my friend is available to spend my birthday lunch with me!

I am grateful the excitement of the Ireland trip and how I feel like dancing!

I am grateful that our weather stays warmer through September and packing early won’t hurt my options.

Happy Birthday Tracey!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day. I am with you, I would be packing this far ahead of time too. This trip sounds so exciting :-).

Happy Birthday Tracey—I love football too!!! Carla

thank you! What team do you like?

Denver since Payton Manning is there. He went to UT in Knoxville, where I am from. Also I love watching college football best. GO VOLS Carla

If you love the game, you have to have a deep respect for the greats, like Peyton no matter your team! I don’t know college game at all and it’s probably a good thing because if I did both it would suck too much of time…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Love your clothing color choices for your trip! I hope you’ll be able to post some pics from Ireland. That will be so fun to see through your eyes and your excitement!

Thank you, I hope so too about Ireland, but will have to see..

Happy Birthday!!, dear Tracey! 🙂
I had to laugh when you talked about your DH encouraging you to not worry about paring down your packing for the trip. haha I’m still dumbfounded when my hubby encourages me to thrift (even though he knows good and well I have more than I need) and to not worry about bringing too much on our trips. Gotta love a man like that. lol
I was thinking last night about your trip getting closer and I know you must be soooo excited! 🙂

Yes, isn’t it nice to have a man who gets you! Thanks Lisa, this still feels like a dream, but the closer it gets the more I feel like I am walking on air… To have a 20 year dream fullfilled, to get to do so with his uncle who is in late 70’s and to see my husband take so much time off work is just indescribable!
