I am actually wearing two different Hounds-tooth prints today…
My hat is grey and cream Hounds-tooth in a smaller scale.
I actually planned this outfit without the paisley scarf, but added it last minute.
I just felt the crew neck sweater needed something else…
Both my hat and scarf are from Burlington Coat Factory…
If you are lucky enough to live near one, I highly recommend them for great accessories at wonderful prices.
My sweater is Liz Claiborne via JC Penney and bought on clearance in July, purse is from Just Fab and boots are Issaac Mizrahi via QVC bought previously…
My grey jeggings are a few season’s old, actually they are a remnant of my pre- weight loss days when they fit much tighter… They are by Diane Gilman via HSN and a great quality jegging, here is her current offerings.
Another great brand I’ve discovered for jeggings is Hue, available at Nordstorm and Amazon...
This is the outside tree that my husband and son planted in a hole in the ground and do every year..
This tree was marked $169 ,but he managed to talk them down to just $50….
So much work goes into planting and staking this tree each year,
and has become a tradition our children appreciate greatly.
I know when the two who are away at college come home and see this ,they will feel like they are home for the holidays…
My typical side pose didn’t happen today as it was misting when we took photos…
The misty rain coupled with my teen photographer standing in the street to take the tree photos meant he was jumping around and they all came out fuzzy… He suspected it at the time and apologized, and offered to retake them, but look relieved when I told him we would deal with what we had…
Dear Readers, I have a good hat collection by now and it’s a good thing because I hate winter and really do love wearing hats when I am outside… It’s my real life and not done just for my blog… I laughed at the idea that my new hair won’t get seen much.. I think it’s an added bonus to help create a boho feel to my winter outfits.
Gratitude
I am grateful to my son for his willingness to take my blog photos and to make sure I have what I need.
I am grateful that today was a non-busy day, as Mondays are hard enough, especially when cold and wet…
I am grateful for heat in my home that keeps me cozy warm… I pray for those that are without, and hope charities step up.
I am grateful for the customer of my husband’s who gave him Nutcracker tickets, as I really wanted to go, but didn’t want to spend the money with the holidays and saving to get him a new car since he turned in his company truck when we went to Ireland.

I never thought about that pattern combination, but it works. Thanks.
