When I noticed our warmer temps this morning,
I thought, it’s a good day to wear a vest…
I should have gone out earlier, because the temperature dropped
and the winds made for a cold photo shoot..
We actually had wind gusts up to 65mph today!
My hair didn’t fair so well in these conditions…
My funny photographer offered for me to go in and fix it…
I of course, said nope, this is real life, let’s just go with it!
I am going to let you in on a funny thing about my paisley blouse ,
which is a Liz Claiborne New York via QVC and one I’ve had for a few years
and also on in burgundy, It suppose to be a longer tunic that hangs down
and has a cute elastic back to add figure flattery…
I don’t ever wear it that way and instead belt it because I bought it on clearance
in an xs which is tighter on my hips… I didn’t even think about returning these two tops,
as I loved the print and love wearing belts…
I also thought the shorter version works better for my petite height
This vest is among those that I’ve thrifted , which is my preferred way of acquiring them..
I find them for about $7 at Goodwill, always in excellent shape instead of $60 to $80 new…
This allows me to have a variety , which is great for this lover of third completer pieces…
Dear Readers, today was quite a day after my husband’s team won the Superbowl…
Imagine trying to wrangle a teenager who slept in past noon after celebrating and awoke
still very hyped up , talking non-stop about key plays in the game….
Mondays are hard enough, but at least I have complete discretion as a homeschooling mother and rearranged our day for
easy classes that he could get through quickly.
Gratitude
I am grateful for the fun the Superbowl was with texting friends and family during the game and listening to all the calls and joy being spread after the game…
I am grateful that my son and husband had great bonding time watching the game and even more fun hugging it out after the win.
I am grateful that our two college children both texted and video chatted after the game…With my daughter being in Boston and the kids running in the streets and fireworks it heightened the celebration for the guys.
I am grateful that the snow made my husband cancel his plans to fly to Boston for the parade because my son surely would have wanted to go and the disruption for homeschooling with us just getting back in the routine after the holiday break would have been too much.
I am grateful for the wonderful memories of my father that football season always brings up for me.
I am grateful the last tax form came in the mail today, and we can get those taxes and FAFSA forms completed.
I am grateful for two phone calls from my daughter in one day… One video one at noon where she showed us the foot of accumulation and actual snowfall as it was still happening… She called back later to report that the anticipated one foot is actually two feet.. She is loving the snow! She was dreaming about sneaking into the pool that is full of snow from both storms…

Hi, Tracey. I love this paisley top and they way you’ve styled it.
