Cooler than I expected…

Posted on: April 9, 2015

I checked the weather last night and it said our high would be 73 degrees….

I was so excited and got up this morning and decided to go for another sporty look,

with my new navy/mint sneakers and a striped skirt.

Well, Dear Readers, I should have checked the weather in the morning because it was in the 50’s…

I actually wore that sporty chic outfit bowling this morning , but changed when I got home to this outfit.

I loved it and will wear it again soon to take photos.

I was only home for about an hour and a half as it was Parent’s Night Out

and there was a thrifting trip beforehand.

It was fun to do a stripe and floral pattern mixing using my Aerosoles wedges..

I have to laugh at myself a little at the thought that just a short time ago I had only worn my ponchos with solid tops.

I like the pattern versions peeking out , so much more..

In fact I have a gingham checked shirt in teal hanging with my teal poncho waiting to wear before it

becomes to hot for ponchos.

Dear Readers, I am so excited to share this link with you, as it has so many informative ideas for color combinations and pattern mixing for those who are looking for some guidance.  It has a total of 41 charts of all kinds of  clothing terminology that will make you sound like an expert!

I seriously hope you all take a look at that link, as there is something for everyone interested in fashion and style!

Gratitude

I am grateful that my son is having such success with his new love of bowling and had scores all above his average today, with each of the three games getting higher.

I am grateful for this amazing group of kids that support and are kind to each other.

I am grateful for the bookThe Four Agreements” , A practical guide to personal freedom.  I think I am giving this book to all my adult kids in their stockings this Christmas.  The first agreement is “Be Impeccable with Your Words”, which helped me when I made the commitment to do strength training and Fluidity Ballet Bar workouts on M, W, F to still fit it in with my busy day.

I am grateful for Parent’s Night Out and this wonderful group of women and the way these nights fill me with joy and lift my spirit!

Wow, Tracey! What a great multitude of charts you shared with that link! Thank you! Not since 9th grade home ec class have I seen so much useful information. 🙂

Funny to mention home ec, as it truly is a plethora of information that I thought everyone could find something useful.

I love the chart you shared…very helpful! And I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT! Looks great on you! The floral shoes really add a great pop & live the stripe top with the shoes! I’ve been adding stripe tops to my spring wardrobe lately…now I need to step out of my comfort zone & add a print 🙂 Red, black & white are my all time favorite colors to wear!! Have a great day! 83 in TN today…loving it!! 🙂

Lucky you for nice temps. Stripes are the easiest pattern to try. A floral for Spring would be great as well as a polk a dot or gingham. have fun with it!

You’ll get the warm weather on Friday!
