Saturday, I spent the afternoon thrifting,
My first thought for planning the look was the shoes…
Yes, for a day of shopping, it’s all about protecting the healed knee and comfort.
My Bob’s by Skechers can’t be beat for those goals..
My Diane Gilman Super Stretch Lite Capris were the perfect bottoms for a day of
measuring and kneeling down to take photos of furniture for my son’s apartment.
The top is one I picked up from Burlington on clearance for just $7.99.
I didn’t get a photo, but when my daughter and I headed out shopping to Cato to find a few tops for her,
I changed into my Vince Camuto Navy Laser Cut Sandals
My Daughter and I had similar silhouette tops and shoes and the sales girl at Cato complimented us.
I beamed with pride as my daughter is upping her style lately and I am loving it….
At 24, I think we are finally over the “not wanting to be like Mom” phase!!!!
So much so, that she even picked out a necklace for me , the same as her own, but different color..
I had hoped to share you links of her necklace choices, alas they weren’t online, but
Here is a link to what they do have, lol!
Gratitude
I am grateful that all my thrifting efforts paid off and my son now has a desk and chair.
I am grateful for the fun of shopping with my daughter and the delight that she is maturing and more fun to be around.
I am grateful that my son finally consented to going for x-rays on his injured foot He has to see orthopedic Monday, but pretty sure it’s not broken.
I am grateful laughter , fun and family time together before my son and daughter head back to college
I am grateful for my integrity, compassion and good judgement when handling difficult people.

Well, my oldest son has always loved fashion and my 19yr old son has always been brave with color. It’s been funny to watch that be my daughter’s only rebellion, lol. Being in a Master’s degree with a year long internship coming up means getting out of college gear of jeans and t-shirts, lol.
