Dress Up September

Posted on: September 1, 2015

Inside Out Style is Promoting a fun Challenge called

Dress Up in September

It’s a challenge to wear some of your best Daytime Appropriate Looks that you save for Special Occasions

and wear them daily , declaring that indeed you are going somewhere special, On With Your Life…

I knew Instantly that I would Celebrate the beginning of my

Birthday month with this lovely dress.

I was going to wear this to my son’s high school graduation last summer,

but it had to be changed at the last minute when I broke my toe…

The length of this dress with petite height requires heels…

I feel ultra-feminine in this dress and feel like I should

be a woman of luxury who goes out to lunch...

I also felt like I should curtsy…

Yes, this dress reminded me of my youth and love of full skirts…

So of course I had to do a full twirl to celebrate

this dress in it’s full glory!

Dear Readers, it was so fun too start this wonderful month of my 5oth Birthday like this.

Gratitude

I am grateful to my fabulous hairstylist for fitting me into his busy schedule for a hair cut and color this week before we head out for our first of three mini vacations for the month..

I am grateful that I have found that taking Nyquil (which I need for sinus issue anyway) is helping me to get a full night’s rest despite menopause trying to rob me of it…lol

I am grateful for the support of my oldest to take care of our pets when we go away this weekend.

I am grateful to my husband for wanting not just one day of fun to celebrate my b’day , but wanting everyday leading up to it and beyond to be special.

I am grateful that those close to me understand that since my dear father only lived for 42 years that my making it to 50 is not something I take for granted and is so dear to me to celebrate.   No feeling over the hill, here… I am on top of the Mountain!

I am grateful to have my mother’s jewelry to wear when I need to feel her with me as I face the remainder of this life journey without her presence. With the sunlight, you can’t see that I am wearing a locket she wore often that was my grandmother’s. .
