Skirted Leggings

Posted on: March 2, 2016

Another Casual Mom on the Go styled outfit

as I spent the day at home doing laundry and such to get ready for my

two college kids arriving home on Friday for Spring Break.

It might be silly , but it hit me when I put this look together

that I was wearing black and orange without looking like Halloween, lol.

You’ve gotta love the thoughts of an ADD wandering brain, at least I appreciate mine!

I am wearing a Kate & Mallory Dolman sleeve top with attached tank

The tank actually has a great length that can be pulled down beyond the length of

the skirt length on my Legacy Skirted Leggings.

The Dolman top is a wonderful loose fitting top, but I have to say the sleeves are a bit tight on the arms.

I love printed tops that are so easy to style by just pulling a color for accessorizing.

I also have mint colored flats and purse that would look great with these pieces.

I even think I could add my bright pink slingback wedges as yet another option.

Self Care

Today in self care, I’d have to say getting my eating back on track, now if only I can keep it up..

That is my problem I do well for a few days , but don’t strng them into weeks or months.

I want to correct that and get real with myself and knock it off….

Unfortunately, I get stressed and allow it to knock me away from this goal…

It’s a pattern and I damn well want to break it in this my 50th year of life!

Gratiude

I am gratefl for another warm day before our temps change, yet again to 20 degrees colder!

I am grateful for the fun of practicing sign language with my homeschooler, it really is fun.

I am grateful that my son away at college shared his newest food creation, he loves the frozen pierogies we get from BJ’s , but without access to them, he made his own and texted me the photo… Pretty impressive for a 20yrs old in college!

I am grateful that my new shoes arrived, they may just be the silliest ones I’ve ever had, yet still appropriate, come back tomorrow and I will style them for you to see….

I’ve never seen skirted leggings before, they are darling!! And you paired them with the perfect shoe!!
As for getting your eating on track, our personal trainer gave us some sound advice many years ago. Keep your eating at the 80/20 rule–meaning eat good 80% of the time. You’re going to eat crap (as I like to say) but there’s no sense feeling guilty about it. I feel like once I gave up the pressure of “eating perfect”, it was tons easier!! Just my opinion! jodie

Thank you so much for that reminder. I’ve long been a proponet of saying to other mother’s that if you get it right 80% of the time you are doing great! Wonder why I never transferred it to eating… lol

Those skirted leggings are cute! What size are you wearing and how do they run? I wear small and would need petite. I’m short-5’2″.

I’m 5’3″ but have long legs and don’t wear petite bottoms. My size in these is a small. They have Capri length options that may work.
