I put on this Calvin Klein t-shirt style dress and instantly thought ,

I have a blank canvas and could layer this up for Winter in so many ways…

I tried a few , but was in a hurry for a meeting, so went with the no fail black & white combo…

I really should do a post on several ways to style this simple but fantastic dress…

Perhaps I should make 2015 the year I add a 3 Ways to Style It feature and live up to my blog title..

I opted for a photo with this little guy as he will be getting packed up tomorrow…

I will miss the the lights outside and the glow of the Christmas tree lights in the den..

I haven’t used my sunlight lamp the entire time the Christmas tree has been up…

Then again having my children home from college brings a different kind of light to my world!

Any day that I get to wear my black onyx and mother of pearl

ying/yang necklace is s good day..

Last year I would have paired this with a moto jacket,

It’s nice to have the option of this kind of sweater to wear with dresses..

I bought it from Bj’s and the following week bought another one in cobalt…

Grocery shopping is more fun when done at Bj’s…LOL..

Dear Readers, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I’ll be spending mine taking down holiday decor, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers Play off game,  Football on a SATURDAY!   Going to have to figure out what my Sundays are going to look like when football season ends…A first world problem that isn’t really a problem but an opportunity!

Gratitude

I am grateful for a chance to dress up today, as I love wearing skirts and dresses and haven’t done so as much lately…I need my friends to come back from their travels… Lol… one is in CA and won’t be back until Feb!

I am grateful that I still have 8 more days with my kids home!!!!

I am grateful that my oldest is over his flu and came by this afternoon!

I am grateful that my oldest’s first venture into pet ownership is going so well…he has a Green Cheeked Conure and has trained him to poop on command over a trash can, to play dead, and most recently to fetch…

I am grateful that my sciatica ,which was activated when we were doing a fast walk/run to catch a show at Busch Gardens, was much better today…

I haven’t mentioned this to you my Dear Readers, but

I’ve been searching for months for a dress to wear to the church service and reunion dinner

On our Ireland trip….

With less than two weeks to go I had to stop playing around..

Lace-Panelled-Dress

And the winner is this lace number from Metrostyle…

It met with DH’s approval , so now just keeping my fingers crossed that it fits right!

Here’s my outfit of the day…

Wide leg linen pants and polk a dot sweater.

I’ve never worn this sweater without a top underneath,

but with today’s temps it  helped to again fake Fall..

When asking a 14 year old to take photos,

you get an askew necklace and purse…

I am wearing my Ying/Yang Necklace and the purse if from Just Fab.

That’s the first time I thought to add the link for my necklace…

This purse is the one I’ve chosen to take on my Ireland Trip…

Not that I carry purses while site seeing on vacation,

as I usually stuff a few items in my husband’s pocket and forgo lugging a purse..

Dear Readers, I loved the ease of these pants and this outfit and it is a big contender for my train ride

from our local area to NY where we will spend a fun night before heading off to Ireland…

Gratitude

I am grateful for the phone call from my daughter today , who just needed compassion

as she struggles with graduate school and the reverse schedule of having late afternoon and night classes…

I am grateful for leftovers for dinner with a late starting homeschooling day.

I am grateful that my son is doing well with the new home-school program.

I am grateful my husband is pushing me to walk nightly cause my resolve some days isn’t strong.

I am grateful my husband is getting excited about the Ireland trip and researching online things to do.
