Today’s GYPO FAll Challenge Inspiration was all

about an orange sweater.

I love the color orange for Fall and wear it often with browns,

But it works well with a classic Blue Jean shade.

I was so excited to debut my wonderful addition to Fall ,

this Guiliana sweater that I bought over the summer and the Liz Lange Tunic

that I found on clearance and is now sold out.

I love the mulit media sweater with the faux suede feel that has a snakeskin print.

My husband came home this afternoon for a break and couldn’t stop touching it, it really is softer than you’d expect.

This Sweater comes in 7 colors and is $29.95 and available in sizes up to 3x.

I always adore Rachel Zoe’s outfits where she pairs tunic tops and

bootcut jeans and love how this outift made me feel.

I’ve had these Levi’s jeans forever.

Rachel Zoe always wear her bootcuts dragging on the ground and from a stylist view,

that is the right way to rock the look.

I on the other hand love being able to showcase my beloved Orange pumps from

Payless’s Comfort Plus line that I bought last season.

I loved putting one side of my hand behind my ear, to really showcase

my gold hoop earrings, which I wear quite often.

Dear Readers, Today, I didn’t have to Fake Fall today as it was in the high 60’s and windy today.

Of course that was due to the hurricane , but we are due to get back into the 80’s by Wednesday.

Funny thing is that Wednedsay is homeschool bowling day and I dress like Fall anyway, as it’s cold in that alley!

I do wonder how I will manage the Fall Challenge with these hotter temps.

I never did a Fall one of these before because last year I was in Ireland at this time!

I have packed away my sandals and will take advantage of wearing pumps and flats with bare feet these next weeks until I unpack the boots and go full on with them….

So Dear Readers, Are you packing away Summer and getting out Fall, or are you already all the way into Fall already?

Gratitude

I am grateful that my husband popped in this afternoon for a fun break from my homeschooling mom day.

I am grateful that my son got back on track despite the interruption and finished his goals for the day.

I am grateful for Kiniesology tape and the relief it is going to give DH from a pulled back muscle.

I am grateful that my friend’s daughter is finally living her dream of doing acting and dancing with our local Hurrah players and will be in the Wizard of Oz this weekend.

I am grateful that my husband got off work early and asked us to a quick dinner and movie night. My teen homeschooler loved , The Martian, an excellent movie in all our books and he is so picky…

I had a lot of fun with this look…

Boho Fun that is!

A floppy hat like this is very on trend for the Fall Season.

I’ve seen them all over the mall, most recently Old Navy in fun colors of olive and burgundy.

Here’s my new boho vest that I am absolutely loving.

I can see so many ways to style this for most seasons.

It will be great with long sleeve dresses for Fall.

My top is an Issac Mizrahi peplum found HERE, he’s added a long sleeve version to his line HERE

My necklace is actually a pin that was my mother’s and I wear whenever I want to feel close to her.

My leather hobo handbag is from QVC’s GILI line and is sold out, but HERE are their current hobo bags.

My Flare Jeans are by Diane Gilman,

If you are a regular reader you know this is my go to designer for jeans.

The best thing about buying jeans from this line is the versatility of sizes..

They come in Petie, Regular, Tall and Plus Regular, Plus Petite and Plus Tall.

In Fact a lot of QVC designers have these size options.

Gratitude

I am grateful that I was feeling much better today.

I am grateful that Unisom is working to help me get sleep and beating that darn menopausal issue.

I am grateful that I scheduled our next Parent’s Night out for next week.

I am grateful that tomorrow is bowling day, makes hump day , so much better!

I am grateful that my son is home from college and his sense of humor and fun conversations.

This has been a week of clouds and rain,

but I don’t let that get me down.

It’s been fun as it forced me to steer clear of maxi skirts and certain shoes

DSC_0148

Still using my phone for Pictures….

I did however manage to wear one of my longer boho crinkle skirts in my favorite shade.

I thrifted this one and the zippered hoodie jacket I bought off Ebay, somedays it’s fun wearing

things I love that aren’t specifically on trend.

I think the color combo and my new pointed toe flats with ankle straps add just enough to be modern.

I really am loving my new layered hair and how I can leave it more curly like this, perfect for a rainy day,

while also being able to use my straightener for days when my more conservative side likes to play..

My purse is Nine West bought a few years ago at an Outlet Mall.

My shoes are from Amazon, Here and come in several colors.

The good thing about this rain is that it looks like it will clear up by Saturday….

Why is that so Important?

Well my husband got us tickets to see Billy Joel and it’s outside and we have plans to tailgate beforehand!

I hope you my Dear Readers all have a fabulous weekend, spending time with loved ones and recharging your batteries for the coming week.

Any Special Plans for this weekend?

Gratitude

I am grateful for a very lazy day that matched the vibe of the weather.

I am grateful that my daughter went out tonight with friends from her childhood, wish she would have let me take pictures of her outfit, lol!

I am grateful that the shopping list comes out tonight at midnight for the Summer GYPO challenge, as I hope to shop my closet for items and get inspiration to make it a no-brainer to get dressed… This being creative and picking out outfits daily really does take time some days, others it is easy.. You can still sign up if interested.

I am grateful for the fun of stepping on the scale this morning and thinking it was broken… I’ve lost over 5lbs since last Friday when I really got serious about this!

Day 2 Of A Week of Dresses and Skirts,

I decided to style my favorite dress and the only one that I still have from before my

weight loss, as the elastic empire waist made that possible…

IMG_3057

Layering a summer dress is such a fun way to extend your wardrobe.

I added a grey long sleeve t-shirt under the dress to begin with, as this dress has a very deep v -neck and identical one in the back as well.  I added the scarf for extra warmth as it was freezing today with frigid winds.

This grey ruffled sweater is from Burlington last year and is definitely a favorite, as it has such a feminine flair to it.

IMG_3061

I originally wasn’t going to wear the hat, but the weather quickly changed my mind…

I love that this styling of the dress feels very boho , which if you are a regular reader is a strong preference of mine.

IMG_1331

Here is how I wore this for Summer

IMG_3066

I am loving putting together skirt and dress looks and

the Spunky and Sassy feel I was hoping to create for myself is definitely happening!

Gratitude

I am grateful to my son for freezing and dealing with the winds to take my photos, he is a real trooper!

I am grateful for progress with homeschooling today and getting my teen re-motivated.

I am grateful for the music and fun from the Oscars that stayed with me all day today…

I am grateful for my strength and self esteem (thanks Mom & Dad).

I am grateful that my daughter is coming home Friday and the countdown and anticipation and happiness that generates.

I seem to have a much easier time in warmer months,

to embrace my Boho side… but today was just in a mood to break that out…

IMG_2480

I thought this thrifted sheer tunic would be a good start…

I layered my Steampunk style necklace with floral and wooden beads chain.

Leggings, riding boots and a comfy sweater complete the look and satisfied my boho desire for the day..

IMG_2486

My hair actually started of looking nice…

The windy day tousled it about for the rest of the photo shoot…

After taking photos I headed for a walk to the store to get groceries

to satisfy my son’s dinner request for tomorrow..

I added a brown bucket style hat and kept it on the rest of the day,

feeling even more bohemian..

IMG_2492

I layered the sheer tunic over a dark brown tunic top for extra warmth…

IMG_2504

I really like wearing cozy sweaters especially when we have major temperature swings…

Yesterday it was 74, today 47…

Dear Readers, this last week with my college children is all about making their favorite meals…Today was fulfilling my daughter’s love of bacon with my Barbecue chicken, bacon, tomato and cheddar sandwiches ( I actually eat mine without the roll)  and tomorrow is my son’s request for Calzones-two types.. one with Ricotta, Mozzarella and Parmesan and the second one with ham slices, sauteed onions and Sharp Cheddar… I learned how to make these from an Italian mother of one of my husband’s high school classmates about 23 years ago.. I don’t make them often, which makes them even more special.

I am hoping my oldest, who is a Pescetarian, will join us for the cheese version..

Gratitude

I am grateful that my children have tasked me with making their comfort foods this last week of their vacation.

I am grateful that my son noticed how much I am running the dishwasher with them all home, and suggested next time they are all there, that I go to paper plates and cups…

I must add that everyone has pitched in with dishwasher and is not just leaving it all to me and for that I am grateful.

I am grateful that my husband’s  company appreciates him and his work abilities and ethics.  He actually had the crew working a 13 hour Sunday to install 3 of his jobs… they normally have Sunday off..

I am grateful that the owner of his company was in awe of his last year’s sales numbers and has challenged him with a full year in the field to sell a million dollars ( it’s doable based on his past and current progress and the challenge is something that works well for my husband)
