I was so excited to get back to blogging and doing an Outfit Post that I
Laid out my Look last night , including the jewelry, lol
Check out this blog : https://www.elegantlydressedandstylish.com/my-afternoon-at-charlottes-soft-surroundings-beauty-products/
This look is very much my style for a few reasons,
Color, Pattern, Cute Jeans and Wedges!
Of course, I had to add in a layered necklace
look to finish off my maximal style!
My shorter necklace is actually one my sister made,
she made jewelry to sell and wear herself as a hobby.
The Jeans are my favorite jean designer, Diane Gilman ( I may be addicted)
are a fun cropped flared version.
I haven’t tried them with booties yet, but
will in the future to extend their wear- ability .
The Babydoll Tunic, I picked up from Jane is a great style, fitted in the bust with
the empire waist and perfect flair to help camouflage the menopause tummy.
I will be posting soon about my weight loss method that has resulted in 11 lbs
and inches off in the past 5 weeks!
I now have several of these wedges that I picked up over last few years
at TJMaxx by different makers. I unfortunately have been stuck in
flats this Summer after twisting my ankle at a Cemetery in July,
when in Boston to say farewell to my husband’s Aunt Jane.
*Note I took photos too early when sun was bright, was excited to get back to outfit post!
As my past readers know I am really big on third completer pieces ,
and right now I am adoring these fun vests.
This one is one of the samples I have been trying out.
In fact I am looking into selling these.
I started an Amelia James clothing boutique business 6 months after my sister passed on,
big mistake and never got it fully off the ground. I have to sell my inventory and move on as I love the company and clothes , but not the mlm business culture .
The good news is
it taught me was that I want to sell 3rd Completer Pieces!
I created this September Calendar for a group of Style Sisters for
Facebook group that had not been very active to get us back to posting
pictures and to hep me get back to blogging.
I invite any of my readers to join in if they wish.
Please if you have not joined my
Versatile Style by Tracey Facebook Group
do so, and post pictures of your outfits!
Pink and Purple for Spring

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Weekend!
Our weather took a cold turn with rain, so it was a nice
chance to break out one of my leather jackets.
I orginally took this shot without my glasses, but in order to indulge my
photographer who thinks my glasses add character,
I happily put them back on and posed again.
Love that kid of mine!
For a few months, I had misplaced my camera and recently found it in the back pocket
of my purple purse. After recharging the battery, my son couldn’t wait to take my photos,
even making me wait for him to get dressed when his father was right there willing to take my pictures.
I love how invested he is in my blogging journey!
My husband hadn’t noticed this Gili leather jacket despite my having worn it before.
He actually complimented it three times , once when he first saw me in it, once when we were at
the grocery store and again when we got home as I took it off to get cooking dinner.
It’s currently on sale in several colors for $109 on QVC with payments of just $18.16 available.
I am wearing a size 10 in this line, which was perfect as the arms fit snug,
so an 8 would have been too tight.
My Liz Claiborne NY blouse, which I absolutely love, is the opposite
and runs big as I am wearing an xs and it’s not tight on my 34DDD chest.
You can’t see it very well, but I am also wearing a Halston Belt from QVC ,which I recently bought in a size xs/s , as I didn’t want it long enough to have to tie it in a bow.
Jeans are wonderful bootcuts by Diane Gilman and a great weight for Spring/Summer.
Purse by JOY & IMANfrom Hsn as well.
My Peep toe booties are last year’s from Payless.
Gratitude
I am grateful my daughter used her boyfriend’s cell phone to call me Saturday night after her Anime conference to share with me all that happened and how much fun she had. Her own phone is shutting off and messing up.
I am grateful that my husband took our son to see Batman Vs Superman movie, allowing me a rare night at home alone.
I am grateful for all the texts I received from my siblings on Easter and the one my sister shared where she had made a donation to church in memory of our parents and their names were printed in the bulletin.
I am grateful for a fun evening of cooking Easter dinner together with my husband, as we don’t get to cook together often.
Loving My Isaac Leather!
Posted March 6, 2016
on:After searching for 3 years for the perfect black leather jacket and finally finding it,
I am trying to get in a few more wearrings of it before the warmer temperatures
arriive and make that impossible.
With the quilt detainling of this Isaac Mizrahi leather jacket,
I am loving it with a solid top rather than my love of prints.
On Qvc the color listed for this jacket is Dark Charcoal and also comes in Grove Green
A closer look at the quilting detail of this beloved jacket.
My purple top and purse are both by Iman via Hsn .
The top can be found HERE in several colors.
My purse is also in several colors and can be found HERE
I bought these beautiful earrings from TJ maxx in both purple and green ,
they are no longer available and I am so glad I scored these.
My necklace was a gift from a
Style Sister for the Christmas
Gift Exchange
My Jeans are Diane Gilman, I feel like a broken record about her jeans,
but love them and these Flared button detailed onessold out .
HERE is what the line currently has available.
Dear Readers, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My house is full as it’s Spring Break time.
I am loving it and the time , laughter, joking and fun.
I will spend a lot of this week sewing my daughter’s costume for her Anime convention in Boston.
Gratitude
I am grateful for time as a family and seeing the light in the eyes of my youngest , to have his siblings home.
I am grateful that I thought to call a family meeting and plan out this weeks menu with input from everyone on ideas of something they love, but don’t make themselves.
I am grateful for the help of my husband in helping to create the pattern for our daughter’s costume , as he is much more detailed and precise and perfect for the job. I love that my daughter has us all wanting to help with her costume.
I am grateful for the anticipation and fun leading up to our going to the Jimmy Buffet concert in April. I hope I don’t regret taking my almost 16 year old on this zany party event…

Once again I am doing a twist on the GYPO Spring Style Challenge,
and this time it was due to not having a great pair of dark straight or skinny jeans.
To be more specific, not a pair that fit me right now.
Today’s Outfit suggestion was to embrace the Denim on Denim Trend.
This was the one that caused the most stress among the challengers and I wish I had been able to pull it of myself.
This is a great example of how the rend looks, of course for those in the challenge, a pair of bright flats are more suitable for the Spring vibe…
Speaking of Spring Flats, I purchased these from Amazon just for the Spring Challenge.
My Chambray top is from Old Navy and again my bag is from Just Fab.
As for my Jeans, what can I say, I am addicted to my Diane Gilman Jeans!
They never disappoint and have stretch that works for this frustrating time of weight fluctuations.
I loved this color combo and my new shoes are going to get a lot of use…
I have several ideas already for them…
If you haven’t added bright flats to your Spring Wardrobe, I highly recommend them.
Keeping it real, I added the jacket as the temperature was cool enough to warrant
it for my walk to the grocery store.
Gratitude
I am so grateful that I went back to bed this morning and caught up on some much needed sleep.
I am grateful for the fun of the Style Challenge and making these looks all my own.
I am grateful for the mess up and one pound weight gain from yesterday, as sometimes we can get complacent and wake up calls are good motivation.
I am grateful for the fun of going to the grocery store with my son to pick out fun marinades for Chicken, we have our two favorites and picked up two new ones as well.
I am grateful that tomorrow is Friday, it’s a long week, when you are waiting for birthday surprises for your child and I still have to wait for Sunday for most…
