The hardest part of my weight gain is seeing it in photographs….
With Spring arriving and less layers I can see clearly what I haven’t wanted to face…

And with Style Elixir for Spring Outfits, So go get inspired…
It’s not necessarily a bad thing, as it is motivating me to exercise more.
After a week of sinus headaches and not exercising as much as I would have liked,
I am ready to kick this into gear.
I took a walk today to get started, which is why I chose this outfit…
It’s fun to add sparkle and a scarf to boyfriend jeans to make it more feminine.
I like wearing scarves in Spring because once Summer hits our humidity makes that unappealing.
I did a faux tuck today, which actually looked better and defined my waist.
My boy-friend jeans are from last Spring and are by Just Fab.
That makes two things from there since my purse , a bucket bag for this year’s trend is my most recent purchase
I sporting brand new sneakers that I found on clearance at Target.
I figured with my love of the Sporty Chic trend, that another pair would be helpful.
When you aren’t happy with your weight, shoes are a safe bet…
Dear Readers, On my walk I went to Burlington Coat Factory and tried on clothes, a big wake up call, so I came home from my walk and did a Fluidity ballet bar workout and a few other Pilates exercises. It was a full day of wake up calls with my weight gain as I tried on my soft pants from last year and they were tight. Yep, I am very ready to kick this into full gear!

I was very inspired by You Look Fab’s Outfit Ensemble from Friday
And decided I just had to jump on board and try this one.
I then decided I’ would like to to a few looks using these colors, so this week that’s my challenge…
Maybe not the entire week, but at least 3 days…
Here is the original:

Black and white striped shirts are so versatile and this thrifted Jones New York is my favorite.
I think the solid arms on this shirt work really well with the Old Navy olive vest.
My pants are Old Navy, Here…
We had a peak of Spring Today with temperatures near 70!
It was so nice to have a warmer sunny day….
I like this first attempt at the color ensemble and look forward to seeing what I find next…
Stop by tomorrow to see what I chose…
Dear Readers, It’s Confession Time!
I’ve been feeling very stressed lately and resorted to stress eating and gaining weight…I have to do something NOW, as I am not about to have to go out and buy new bottoms when I have curated a wardrobe I love….
So, when a friend on Facebook said she was feeling the same, I got right into gear and started a Facebook group,
Hampton Roads Getting Healthy Support Group
While I made it for my local area to encourage meetings and possibly walking groups to form, anyone who is looking for support to make changes to exercise and eating healthy, is welcome to join for support and to offer recipes, exercise and what is working for them, or just to ask for accountability or support when needed on this journey…

Today was Home-School Bowling Day!
I love Wednesdays!
I was in the mood to wear the pink Old Navy sweater today…
It looks like my pink version is sold out..
I originally thought I would try this with a black and white striped blouse underneath, but my Chambray shirt also from Old Navy caught my eye and I thought, “Why not pink & blue?” and then instantly my lovely ADD brain joined in the fun and the next thing that I thought was “blush and bashful” … I love Steel Magnolias…
I seriously contemplated wearing my blue ankle boots , but decided with my sciatica acting up, that I would be much better off sticking to the flatter black ones… I really am loving these black flat boots.. If you had suggested that last year winter when I first discovered wearing cute heeled booties with dresses, I would have absolutely said , “No way, this petite gal loves heels!” Funny how practical you can become when back pain flares up…
There really are so many ways to wear a chambray shirt and
I know I’ve just scratched thee surface in that arena…
Dear Readers, I have been eating very well so far this week. I have to say I watched with both interest and some disgust a show “Fat and Back” about an English woman who was fed up with the government paying for weight loss surgery and even knee surgery for overweight patients and the threat of bankrupting the healthcare system. She decided to gain 43 pounds in 3 months eating 6500 calories and then proposed she could easily get it back off. She was rather harsh with no filter and no compassion, which disgusted me and I loved it when a psychologist called her on the lack of compassion. The value that I saw in her journey was that she started a Fat Club and gave them all FitBit type devices to record their daily steps suggesting that they make sure to get in the recommended 10,000 daily recommendation. In addition they did workouts 3 days a week… All lost a decent amount of weight. I bought a FitBit right before Christmas and would love to add this into my daily schedule in addition to workouts, as it’s easy to miss that amount of movement in a day as a stay at home mother.. I think it’s also probably something most people who sit at a desk all day don’t succeed in achieving as well. Just my take away , but could be beneficial to you my dear readers…
Do you think you succeed in getting in 10,000 steps daily?
