First Year Favorite Looks

 Favorite Fall Outfits 2012

I thought it might be fun to go back after my first three months as a blogger and reveal my top 12 favorite outfits .  Like all beginning bloggers I have had some hits and misses, but can see my style improving and want to take a moment to celebrate my successes.

These are in order of most recent to the beginning of my blogging adventure…. I have to mention my surprise that when I finished this that I was left with 6 dresses and 6 pant outfits.  It was totally unintentional and was a shock,  as I think I look better in dresses and would have had an overwhelming number of them instead of it being evenly split…

I originally planned to take a break between Christmas and New Year’s, but my husband encouraged me not to and offered to take photos for me while on his vacation.  His support is tremendous and I am so grateful that he understands what this new adventure in blogging means to me.

I don’t take for granted the precious time with my family, as they are all growing and who knows where life will take them?

I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday and quality time with your friends and family!

Dear Readers. Thank you so much for all your support in this beginning journey of blogging!

Gratittude:

I am grateful for all the wonderful bloggers I have found and the supportive atmosphere among us all.  I am grateful to those of you who take the time to comment and share  of yourselves.  I am grateful for those readers who are not bloggers, but women who are learning with me on this adventure and find inspiration in their own lives.  Please continue sharing things that you like so I can continue to offer content that is of value.

Favorite Winter Looks 2012-13

Unfortunately my seventeen year old and I have both been hit by the stomach flu, so I did not make it to my WW meeting or out of my pj’s for that matter… Since  It is the first day of Spring, It was the perfect chance for me to find my Winter favorite looks to share.

Dear Readers, which one or more do you like the most?   I am sure going to miss tucking my boots away!  I am really looking forward to the warmer months and trying to define my style of  feminine with an edge without my boots or motorcycle jackets.  Should be a fun journey and I look forward to sharing and learning more about how to dress my body since the weight loss…

Gratitude: I am grateful that my son stopped throwing up.  I am grateful that my symptoms did not include throwing up.  I am grateful that I had these pictures picked out and the post ready so didn’t have to think to much while dealing with this fever!  I am grateful that my son changed his senior schedule to be more challenging after initially wanting a “skate” year.   I am grateful for my nap, which allowed me some peace from the sour stomach feel that just won’t go away.

Spring Favorite Looks

seemed to fly by thise year and we had cooler temps then down right summer ones. My favorite part of Spring is getting rid of tights and boots and going barelegged and open toed.. Love slingback wedges during this season.

thank you, i love them all; outfit #10: myself i usually avoid to show leg; so i’d prefer opaque leggings for modesty reasons; the skirt is just a little too short for sheer nylons.

Love how you dress up your jeans. You have inspired me, so I went shopping bought some great boots, new dark jeans and a couple of purses. I had lots of jackets in my closet and am surprised at some of the outfits I have put together. Thanks

Thank you so much for your comments and letting me know that in some way my blog is inspiring…I use to own a consignment store and closed it to take care of my mother in the last years of her life… I have felt a huge whole in my heart about the loss of that store because it brought me joy daily to lift up women. Thanks to my readers like you who let me know that I am making a difference. The hole in my heart that the loss of my store created is finally healing… Sorry feeling super emotional as the 4th year anniversary of my mother’s passing is coming up shortly…

I think you look fabulous and that you have great style. I am trying to change how I normally dress and to have some fun and look good. You pit together great outfits!

Thank you so much, I have learned so much since becoming a blogger and really appreciate feedback from my readers. Good luck with your new fouund interest and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

I just found your blog today. Went from Not Dead Yet’s ” This Week’s Participants” page. I bookmarked this page so I can refer to it when putting outfits together. I love your style. I have been looking for a long time to find someone who dressed with style, but didn’t look like I was wearing my twenty something daughters’ clothes. ( Which I do, more often than not, take their cast offs.) I love the way you put colors together in unexpected ways, so there are these shots of color to your outfits. Love your bags too! Keep the blogs a rollin’…

Thank you so much. I am finding that my style fills in a much needed niche of those of us who want to dress with color and fun and not look to young or too old. Once someone finds my Pinterest page, they tend to save anywhere from 6 to 15, so I guess it strikes a nerve. I tread lightly on not trying to dress like my 22 year old daughter…lol!

I have been blog surfing for some time and stumbled across yours through a link. I also like what you do. I have many of the same items in my closet and I like to stay current without looking like my 21 yr old. Your blog also does not seem to be a constant ad for companies who are giving you things which can become annoying. Great job!

I like your style and can see myself wearing a lot of this; I think we have the same body build and weight, athough I’m a bit older -54. Hm, maybe I’ll PM you to ask and compare…

Thanks for commmenting. any questions can be directed to me at versatilestylebytracey@aol.com.
