Challenge Day -2

Posted on: June 18, 2014

Day one of the challenge was such fun to see

how everyone interpreted the outfit on our private Facebook Page!

Get Your Pretty On’s Allison is doing seasonal challenges, and everyone

who did the Spring one had such fun , you can buy the Spring Challenge  even though it’s already over…

And coming in August she is introducing a

Work Wear Challenge…

Linking up with Get Your Pretty On today, so go peruse some other fabulous blogs…

For most of  this challenge I didn’t have to buy anything, like this outfit , which I had every peice already.

I look forward to styling the denim vest more in this challenge as I bought it last year and have not done it justice.

I love wearing vests over tank tops , but my instinct would have been to pair a black vest with this..

Speaking of black vests, I bought this one from Aeropostale and it came yesterday and I love it!

I am so glad I bought the lace Espirt shoes as they are perfect for not putting any pressure on my broken toe, which is highly recommended during this healing stage….

Also, today I began a Jergens self tanner , which I used last year as well.

This time I used some cotton quitled disposable ovals from the dollar store to apply it , as I’ve seen more expensive brands that come with a mitt for applying… so we’ll see if it makes any difference..

I love my collection of thrifted purses that I’ve established for just $4 each…

This orange one is from Goodwill and is a Liz Claiborne NY brand.

I am now filling in some colors and styles from JustFab… I am not fond of the quality of their shoes,

but have not been disappointed yet in the purses..

Bird on the roof next door captured my 14 year old’s attention while photographing me

and he did as many shots of it as he did of me..

I loved this outfit especially on this hot humid day!

Of course I spent most of it in AC…

Dear Readers, I am so glad I joined this challenge for the ability to get an e-mail every night and interpret my own version for an outfit and the comraderie of seeing how others chose to style theirs…I am just hoping to spend some quality time with my two middle children before they head off in Aughust and this is really helpful.

Gratitude

I am grateful that my broken toe felt much better today!

I am grateful that my son had a fabulous two days at his college orientation and signed up for his Fall classes, met new people and wore himself out playing games.

I am grateful that he was only there for two days since he didn’t bring sinus meds and the air quality was poor in Richmond.

I am grateful that my son stayed in the building he will be living in for his Freshman year and got a great look at the size for planning!

I am grateful that my oldest finally got the bird he’s been waiting for and brought him for a visit today.

I am grateful that I was able to run to Sam’s Club and pick up the shelving unit with canvass bins for use in my son’s dorm room.
