Brights and White

Posted on: July 3, 2014

Today’s  Get Your Pretty On Summer Style Challenge

prompted us to wear a bright bottom with a white top…

I opted to wear a skirt after scrapping ankle pants due to the extreme heat of the Day

I liked the simplicity of this look and the extra touches of texture from the soutache detailing of the top…

I’ve had this top for so long, I can’t even remember where I picked it up, but my gut is that is was Burlington Coat Factory…

I love it because the collar looks ruffled due to the elastic all around.  This allows for me at times to pull it down and stretching it to bare my shoulders.. I love wearing it that way…

However with a day that included  a trip to the Mall, I left it this way….

With the details off the top, I left off a necklace , choosing  drop  glass  lampwork bead earrings…

I love the crisp feel of Summer with just white and a bright color…

I searched out this green skirt on ebay and adore this shade…

Like my windblown look???

Dear Readers, I hope you all have a wonderful fun holiday weekend filled with family and friends!

Can you Believe this is my 500th Post!!!!!!!!!

.

Gratitude

I am grateful for a wonderful 3 day weekend of Family fun…

I am grateful for a fun day with my children at the mall today…

I am grateful that I slept in this morning, after a crazy night of waking up twice….

I am grateful for the power of books  and my love of reading.

Just to be silly, I am grateful for my broken toe.. because without out it, I would have worn my green wedges and ruined the crispness the white adds….

Looking good Tracey! I love your blouse! The soutache detail, tiny ruffles and crisp white is so summery and feminine! I wore my new white blouse with the fancy embroidery and little ruffles too (as you know) for Canada Day weekend. I think it’s great paired with a bright colour, you chose a lovely shade of green. I chose red, of course! 😉

Hope your toe heals soon so you can wear your green wedges, bet they look good with this outfit too. 🙂

Happy 4th of July weekend!

❤ carmen

Thank you! We escaped the wrath of a possible Tropical storm which thankfully went more out to sea than expected for the 4th…

I do like the windblown look. Can you do more photo shots on windy days?
