I am an eternal optimist and a realist…
I woke up this morning feeling much better than when I’d gone to bed and thought,
“Oh good, I can go to my son’s first small group coaching for bowling!”
By late afternoon reality hit and I was huddled under two blankets with a hat shivering trying to get warm…
So much for the low grade fever…
Well, at least I managed to get dressed and take a short jaunt for a few groceries….
I unpacked my faux fur vest and couldn’t wait to take advantage of the 70 degree day to wear it…
I recalled vividly an outfit I put together last year with chambray and brown and discovered it was actually two years ago…
That’s not too surprising as this vest was a “You’ve lost weight and can now own the bulkiness of a vest purchase!”
These next three photos I am posting to humor my young photographer who decided to play today with something new…
None of these have been cropped, they are what he chose to take…
I looked at this one and thought , yep love my cheekbones and single dimple….
How nice of my son to feature a shot with my fabulous purse from Just Fab
and my new boots….
These blue boots were purchased in Ireland because I loved the color so much!
I actually sought out a charity store to give my black boots I’d taken on the trip, so I would have room
in my suitcase to bring these home….
I had to laugh at his composition in this photo as the one afterwards was a full length shot…
You can’t tell here as much , but my head is cocked funny and looks weird full length…
Gratitude
I am grateful that my being sick meant my son and his father got some guy time to go to the bowling alley without me….
I am grateful to my husband for agreeing to take Tuesday late afternoon and early evenings off to be part of the bowling coaching for our son.
I am grateful that my son came home from the coaching session and was quite frankly worn out ( he needs the physical activity) and liked the coach and is looking forward to going back next week..(he’s a kid that always acts disinterested and I have to push to try things and give him the out if he doesn’t like it… probably a common trait for the youngest of four, lol! I feel like it’s a dance we do and have perfected the steps on….)
I am grateful that I at least felt better most of the day and my sore throat from yesterday has subsided… still no headache either, Can’t believe that one as it’s such a common issue for me!!!!
I am grateful to my son for taking the initiative and playing with pictures and having fun with the chore of being my photographer…
